KARURA FOREST PRAYER WALK II
ACK St. James Cathedral and the Diocese of Mt. Kenya South at large wishes to express our gratitude for joining us last Saturday for the maiden phase of the Karura Forest Prayer Walk.

We are looking forward to walking with you again this coming Saturday, on 12th March 2022 at 7:00AM.

The walk is in preparation of the upcoming Ngong Hills Climb.

This is an endeavour to raise 180,000 bricks meant to build a Grand New Cathedral for the Diocese. Each Brick goes for Kshs.1000 hence our target is Kshs.180,000,000.

*GUIDELINES ON THIS MONTH OF PRACTICAL PRAYERS*

_Receive Lenten Greetings._

The Season of *Lent* is upon us. *Prayer* is essential and indeed the backbone of this epoch in the Christian Calendar.

Kindly purpose, plan and organise your respective Congregants to participate in the following prayer exercises this month.

1. *A Prayer Walk at Karura Forest.*

2. *A Prayer Retreat* in a calm and serene environment (e.g Resurrection Gardens, Heaven's Gate, Subukia Shrine, Archbishop Manasses Kuria Prayer Gardens, Kabuku Missions Prayer Centre or any other that you deem appropriate).

3. *Organise your Congregants into Weekly Prayer-Groups.*
Each group can be dedicated to specific prayer items ensuring specialisation of intercession.

4. *Combined Clergy and Evangelists Prayer Services at the Archdeaconry level.* At least one Prayer Service this month.

5. *Designate a day of Fasting and Prayer for Congregants* in your Parishes within this month.

6. *Formulate ways of making prayers more practical* and subsequently guide Christians on the need to embrace righteousness.

The God who kept us secure the entirety of last year has the power to sustain us safely to the end our days."

The Sixth Mt. Kenya South, Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi, fortified the hearts of Mama Wangari's family during the Unveiling of the Cross Service at All Saints Muchatha this afternoon.

The Bishop, accompanied by Mama Shiku, were welcomed by Ven. Loise Musyoka, Muchatha Area Dean Rev'd Grace Gathogo, Rev'd Tino Mpishi among other visiting Clergy, Evangelists and Christians.
