🤕 Suffering for Christ’s Name
You will face persecution - hostility or ill-treatment —being excluded, mocked, opposed, or mistreated for following Christ (2 Timothy 3:12).
Don't confuse the consequences of your sin with Christian suffering (1 Peter 4:15–17). When we suffer as Christians, we should not be ashamed but glorify God, knowing such trials test our faith and produce perseverance (James 1:2–3).
You resist the devil when he attacks through sin, oppression, and destruction, but accept persecution as a trial for Christ. God promises to restore and strengthen us after suffering (1 Peter 5:10).
How would your response change if you saw mistreatment as sharing in Christ’s sufferings rather than something to escape? 🤔
