GRATITUDE REPORT: WOMEN CAMP MEETING
Gateway to Victory Gospel Church

We give all glory and honor to God for the successful women’s camp that was held over four days at Gateway to Victory Gospel Church. Indeed, this meeting was a great blessing, marked by spiritual growth, transformation, and renewed commitment among all who attended.

First and foremost, we express our heartfelt gratitude to God for His divine presence throughout the entire camp. His grace sustained us, His Word enlightened us, and His Spirit moved powerfully among the women.

We sincerely appreciate all the women who participated in this four-day gathering. Your hunger for God, active engagement, and openness to transformation made the camp impactful and meaningful. Your presence truly contributed to the success of the meeting.

The teachings during the camp were rich, timely, and life-changing. Key areas addressed included:

Family Life: Women were equipped with biblical principles on building strong, godly families, fostering unity, love, and understanding within the home.

Holiness of the Heart: Emphasis was placed on inner purity, righteousness, and a deeper walk with God, calling each woman to a life set apart for His glory.

Financial Freedom: Practical and spiritual insights were shared on stewardship, breaking the bo***ge of debt, and walking in financial discipline and freedom.

We also extend our appreciation to all the ministers, speakers, and organizers who dedicated their time and effort to prepare and deliver these powerful sessions. Your commitment and service played a significant role in making this camp a success.

Special thanks go to the support team who ensured smooth coordination, hospitality, and provision throughout the camp period. Your behind-the-scenes efforts did not go unnoticed.

We are equally grateful to all partners and supporters whose contributions made it possible to host this impactful meeting. Your generosity continues to enable us to fulfill the mission of empowering lives through the Word of God.

As a result of this camp, we have witnessed renewed faith, restored hope, and a deeper commitment among the women to live according to God’s purpose. We trust that the seeds planted will continue to bear lasting fruit in families, churches, and communities.

May God richly bless each one who participated and supported this noble cause.

PAYING THE PRICE

Following Christ is not a path of comfort—it is a path of sacrifice.

The call to serve God is a call to carry a burden, not just of our own cross, but of the souls still lost in darkness. Every servant of God must come to a place where the pain of others becomes personal, where the cry of the lost becomes a fire within.

Jesus did not just speak about salvation—He paid the price for it.

“Then He said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.’” — Luke 9:23

To carry the cross is to embrace rejection, endure hardship, and remain faithful even when the road is lonely. It is to stand in the gap for those who do not yet know the light.

The burden of souls is heavy.

When you see people bound by sin, broken by life, and blinded by darkness, your heart cannot remain untouched. True servants do not run from this burden—they carry it in prayer, in tears, and in action.

“My heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.” — Romans 10:1

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” — Proverbs 24:11

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37

This is the price:
To love when it is hard.
To serve when it is costly.
To stand when others fall away.

But in that sacrifice, there is purpose.
In that burden, there is glory.

For every soul reached, heaven rejoices.

“Those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy.” — Psalm 126:5

🌅 EASTER SERMON: HE IS RISEN – THE VICTORY IS OURS!

Main Text: Luke 24:5–6

"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!"

1. THE RESURRECTION IS THE GREATEST TURNAROUND IN HISTORY

On Friday, it looked like defeat.
Jesus was beaten, crucified, and buried.

Hope was buried

Dreams were buried

Faith was shaken

But Sunday came!

👉 The same place of defeat became the place of victory.

Message:
What looked dead in your life is about to rise again.

📖 Psalm 30:5 – “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

2. HE IS RISEN – DEATH IS DEFEATED

When Jesus rose:

Death lost its power

The grave lost its hold

Satan lost the battle

📖 1 Corinthians 15:55
"O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?"

👉 The resurrection is not just history—it is victory for us today.

Meaning for us:

You are no longer bound

You are no longer defeated

You are walking in victory

3. THE RESURRECTION GIVES US NEW LIFE

Jesus did not just rise—He gives life.

📖 John 11:25
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die."

👉 Resurrection means:

New beginnings

Restoration

A fresh start
Speak this prophetically:

Dead dreams are rising

Broken lives are being restored

Hope is alive again

4. THE STONE WAS ROLLED AWAY

The stone was not rolled away for Jesus to come out—
It was rolled away so we can see that He is alive!

👉 Every stone in your life:

Fear

Delay

Limitation

Must roll away in Jesus’ name!

📖 Matthew 28:2 – The stone was rolled away by divine power.

5. WE ARE PEOPLE OF THE RESURRECTION

Because He lives:

We have hope

We have power

We have victory

"The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you."

REMEMBER “Christ is the ministry Himself; you don’t determine where the ministry goes”this carries a strong biblical meaning. It reminds us that ministry belongs to Christ, not to us. We are only servants and stewards, while Christ is the head and director of the work.

1. Christ is the Owner of the Ministry

Ministry is not a personal project, a family business, or a human organization. It belongs to Christ.

Bible verse:
Colossians 1:18 – “And He is the head of the body, the church… so that in everything He might have the supremacy.”

This means:

Christ leads the church

Christ directs the mission

Christ determines the purpose

2. Servants Do Not Decide the Mission

A servant does not decide where to go; the master sends him.

John 20:21 – “As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.”

Even Jesus Himself said He was sent by the Father, showing the principle of divine assignment.

3. The Holy Spirit Directs the Ministry

In the early church, believers did not move according to personal plans but according to God's direction.

Acts 13:2 –
“The Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’”

Notice:

The church did not choose the mission field first.

God called and directed the ministry.

4. Ministry Is Obedience, Not Control

When people begin to control ministry, problems arise:

personal ambition

competition

division

True ministry says:
“Lord, where do You want the work to go?”

5. We Are Only Stewards

1 Corinthians 4:1–2
“So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

A steward manages what belongs to someone else.

*Why strong people often hurt the most*

1. Strength becomes a hiding place

Strong people learn early that others lean on them. So they train their faces to shine even when their hearts are breaking. Over time, strength stops being a gift and becomes a mask. People stop asking, “Are you okay?” because your strength answered for you.

> You look fine—so your pain goes unnoticed.

2. They are trusted with weight others can’t carry

Strong people are chosen—by family, church, friends, even God—to carry responsibility. Like Simon of Cyrene, they are pulled from the crowd to help carry crosses that are not fully theirs.

But carrying weight constantly bruises the heart.

3. They postpone their own healing

Strong people tell themselves:

“Let me fix everyone else first”

“I’ll rest later”

“Others have it worse”

So their wounds don’t disappear—they wait. And pain that waits quietly grows deep roots.
4. They fear becoming a burden

Strong people are used to being the answer, not the question. Asking for help feels like failure. Vulnerability feels like betrayal of the image others depend on.

So the heart pleads silently while the face shines.

5. They are often deeply compassionate

Strength and empathy live in the same house. You feel others deeply, so you absorb their pain without realizing it. Like Jesus Christ, who wept while still leading, healing, and teaching—strength does not cancel sorrow.

Even the strongest heart can ache.

Where healing for the strong begins

Healing does not begin when you become weaker.
It begins when you become honest.

When strength learns to sit down

When the strong allow themselves to be seen

When you stop surviving and start being held

> “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

SERMON: “RISING ABOVE YOUR NAME – THE PRAYER OF JABEZ”

Text: 1 Chronicles 4:9–10
Theme: God can change your story
Key Verse: “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel…”

1. INTRODUCTION: A NAME THAT SPOKE PAIN

Names in the Bible were meaningful.
The name Jabez means “pain” or “sorrow.”
His mother named him this because his birth was difficult.

But notice something powerful:

“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers.” (v.9)

Despite his painful beginning, Jabez lived an honorable life.

Lesson:
Your past does not have to define your future.
Your name, background, or family history cannot limit God’s purpose for you.

Many people today carry “painful names”:

Rejection

Poverty

Failure

Broken families

Sickness

But like Jabez, we can rise above our circumstances.

2. JABEZ PRAYED TO THE RIGHT GOD

“Jabez cried out to the God of Israel…”

Jabez did not complain to people.
He did not blame his mother.
He did not accept his situation.

He cried out to God.

Lesson:
Your breakthrough begins when you turn to God in prayer.

Prayer is not a last option – it is the first weapon.

3. THE FOUR PARTS OF JABEZ’S PRAYER

(1) “Oh, that You would bless me”

Jabez was not afraid to ask for God’s blessing.

Some people think it is wrong to ask God for good things.
But God is a Father, and fathers bless their children.

Lesson:
It is not selfish to ask God to bless you.
When God blesses you, you become a blessing to others.

(2) “Enlarge my territory”

This means:

Increase my influence

Expand my opportunities

Grow my capacity

Take me to the next level

Jabez did not want to remain small.

Lesson:
God wants you to grow:

Spiritually

Financially

In ministry

In impact
Don’t settle for a small life when you serve a big God.
(3) “Let Your hand be with me”
The hand of God represents:
Guidance
Protection
Favor
Power
Jabez knew success without God’s hand is dangerous.
Lesson:
We need God’s presence more than prosperity.

The way “nyota” (the star) is sometimes preached today can seriously mislead believers—especially in this generation that is hungry for quick success, recognition, and supernatural experiences.
Here are the main ways it misleads believers:
1. It Shifts Focus from Christ to “Destiny Power”
Instead of teaching:
“Follow Christ, carry your cross, and grow in holiness”
Some teachings emphasize: “Activate your star, unlock your destiny, rise to greatness.”
This makes people:
Chase success more than Christ
Seek power more than purity
Desire blessing more than obedience
Bible warning:
“They have a form of godliness but deny its power.” – 2 Timothy 3:5
2. It Promotes Spiritual Pride
When people are told:
“You are a star. You are special. You are chosen.”
Without teaching humility and service, believers may:
Look down on others
Become self-centered
Seek fame instead of faithfulness
But Jesus taught:
“Whoever wants to be great must be a servant.” – Mark 10:43
3. It Encourages Worldly Christianity
The message often focuses on:
Money
Fame
Influence
Status
Instead of:
Character
Repentance
Sacrifice
Eternal life
Bible truth:
“Do not love the world or the things in the world.” – 1 John 2:15
4. It Replaces God’s Will with Personal Ambition
People begin to believe:
“My star must shine”
Instead of: “Let God’s will be done.”
So they:
Force things
Ignore God’s timing
Chase opportunities without prayer
But Scripture says:
“In all your ways acknowledge Him.” – Proverbs 3:6
5. It Opens Doors to Astrology & Mysticism
Some believers slowly mix:
Horoscope
Spiritual rituals
Prophetic “star readings”
This leads them away from biblical faith into spiritual confusion.
God’s command:
“Let no one be found among you who practices divination.” – Deuteronomy 18:10
6. It Weakens the Message of the Cross
The cross teaches:
Suffering
Self-denial
Faithfulness
Endurance
But “star theology” often teaches:
Instant success
Comfort
Elevation
Breakthroughs
Jesus said:
“Take up your cross and follow Me.” – Luke

In Swahili, “nyota” means “star.”
When some pastors preach about nyota today, they usually mean a person’s destiny, calling, or divine identity — not a physical star in the sky.

However, the meaning depends on how it is being used. There are three common ways pastors use the idea of “nyota”:

1. Nyota as Destiny / God’s Plan

Many pastors use nyota to symbolize your God-given destiny.

Biblical basis:

“Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.” – Daniel 12:3

“You are the light of the world.” – Matthew 5:14

“I know the plans I have for you…” – Jeremiah 29:11

Here, nyota means:

> You were created to shine, to impact others, and to fulfill God’s purpose.

This teaching is biblical and healthy when it points people to God, character, and service.

2. Nyota as Spiritual Identity or Favor

Some pastors say:

> “Your nyota is rising”
Meaning:

Your season of favor has come

God is elevating you

Your gifts are being recognized

This is similar to:

“The Lord will make you the head and not the tail.” – Deuteronomy 28:13

Again, this is fine if Christ remains the center.

3. Nyota as Astrology / Spiritual Power (⚠️ Dangerous)

In some cases, nyota is used in a non-biblical way, connected to:

Horoscope

Zodiac signs

Spiritual stars controlling life

Destiny tied to birth signs

The Bible warns against this:

“Do not practice divination or sorcery.” – Leviticus 19:26

“Let no one be found among you who practices astrology.” – Deuteronomy 18:10

“They worshiped the stars instead of the Creator.” – Romans 1:25

If a pastor teaches that:

Your life is controlled by stars

Your “nyota” determines your future

You need spiritual rituals to fix your star

That teaching is not biblical.

The Biblical Truth About “Nyota”
