6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
2 Corinthians 5:6-9

FOCUS ON WHAT’S IMPORTANT
The past several weeks we have focused on truth in scripture: we focused on the good and learned to steer clear of negative thinking and the lies that seem to bombard us every day. We learned to recognize wrong turns, replace unhealthy thoughts with the truth of God, and that we need accountability. Next, we focused on Jesus and not to become distracted. We learned that fear occurs when we take our eyes off of Jesus, focusing on distractions invites problems, and doubts arise when we lose focus of Christ. And most recently, we focused on our future and learned to trust God with it.

God is all-knowing; all-powerful and ever-present. God knows the future and he has a plan for your life, which is a million times better than any plan you may have.

His plan is perfect.

His timing is perfect.

His motive and heart of love is for your good.

Once we start walking with God in faith and obedience to the truth of the Gospel, we will embrace his will and his plans for our lives, God will direct our steps and future, and we will begin to be used by God.

Jesus wants our focus, our full attention on him so that we can have a happy life.

Today, we will see that God desires every believer to reach the world with the Gospel. He desires that all would have an opportunity to hear the Gospel message and believe, to change the focus of the spiritually lost from their selfish desires, and for the lost to know and seek Jesus. The good news is we don’t have to do it alone. God promises to walk this road with us, to get his people back.

In fact, Jesus even lays out a step-by-step guide for us to follow. Will you use it?

You are not saved to simply slide or coast into heaven. Just as someone once told you about Jesus, you are all called to share your faith in Jesus with others. God desires that each of us have a role in the plan of God and to reach the world with the Gospel. This is our calling.

DO YOU FEEL THE CALL?
As Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem, it was filled with people who did not recognize Jesus as the son of God and they were living far from God. As we look around today, we should have that same feeling and desire to see the lost saved. Why? Because of Christ in us.

Understand, the Holy Spirit—the spirit of Christ—is in you. We should feel what Jesus felt for the lost and, when we do, we will partner with Jesus to reach the lost. Why? Because of Christ in you. Meaning, in your heart and soul.

We, like Jesus, should feel the call to share the truth of Jesus that is in our hearts with others who do not know Jesus. Sharing the truth of Jesus is more than simply supporting missionaries who are on the mission field. It is more than giving to missions. It is more than praying for missionaries. We are to be Christ’s ambassadors to the world. We are to share our faith in Jesus with the world.

Missionary Experience:
Good insight about mission:

Fear of Failure
Fears plagued me as I considered my new role. What if I were to meet with a young woman and have no idea how to answer her questions? So many of these college students were attending Bible schools and probably knew far more about Scripture than I did. What did I have to offer? I felt I had so much to learn before God could really use me. But he had called me to this time and place, and now here I was, frantically trying to find the book of Jonah before someone realized I had no clue.

God often stretches us beyond what we think is possible. He calls us to tasks that seem greater than our capabilities. If you’re in a place of insecurity today, wondering how you’re going to handle the assignment given to you, remember three things.

1. God Is Patient with Insecure Saints
We’re not alone when we feel insufficient for whatever God has called us to do. The Bible gives us numerous examples of saints who doubted their capabilities. At the beginning of Exodus, Moses is called to a daunting task. From a burning bush God hands him the responsibility of delivering the Israelites from Egypt—more than 2 million of them.

But Moses doesn’t respond with a lot of enthusiasm. Instead, he questions God’s call on his life: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt” (Exod. 3:11)? God patiently responds that he will be with Moses, giving him the power and grace to deliver the people. When Moses doubts his ability as a public speaker (Exod. 4:10), God sends Aaron to speak on his behalf. He even allows Moses the ability to perform miracles to conquer the Israelites’ unbelief—a staff that becomes a serpent, a cloak that heals a leprous hand.

Moses’s successor, Joshua, also despaired over his ability to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. Esther feared approaching the king, knowing it was a risk to her life. But through her obedience, God saved the entire nation.

2. God Will Equip Us
Just as God equipped Moses to lead the Israelites with Aaron and his staff, just as God kept his promise to give Joshua victory over the Canaanites, just as God gave Esther the courage to go before the king, he will also equip us for the tasks he gives us. As Paul puts it, “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work” (2 Cor. 9:8). God doesn’t call us to something only to leave us to fend for ourselves. He is with us, he provides for us, and he enables us to finish the assignment.

3. God Enables Us to Cast off Fear with Trust
How do you respond when God calls you to something that seems beyond your reach? When we argue or doubt or complain, we’re failing to trust the God who promises to be with us and equip us. We think we know our capabilities and capacities, but God loves to stretch us beyond what we think possible.

Maybe you’re given a new assignment at work that seems overwhelming. Maybe you just took a pregnancy test and realized you’re expecting again when your first baby isn’t yet walking. Or maybe you’re asked to lead a Bible study when you feel you’re ill-equipped. Whatever the calling may be, God wants us to remember the same thing he told Moses: he will be with us. He will equip us. As he famously commanded Joshua, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Josh. 1:9).

If God has clearly called us to the task, he will see that we carry it through. He will give us the grace and the tools needed to accomplish the assignment. Maybe not perfectly—in fact, certainly not—but all he asks is our service, leaving the outcome to him.

Jesus came to the earth to save us from sin,
From MANGER to CROSS is why I'm born again.

Before our birth God had a plan,
For his son Jesus; The Son of Man.

He came to save us from all of our sin,
Came to make us a new creature (born again).

He hung on the cross in pain and agony,
Beaten and torched for the us all on Calvery.

In a tomb after he died then on the 3rd day,
An Angel sent from God Rolled that Rock Away!

So let's all remember in this season,
That Jesus our Savior is the reason!

We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19

I'm trusting, only trusting
In Jesus day by day:
I feel His presence nearer,
While pressing on my way;
My soul is full of glory,
And this my song shall be:
I love my blessed Saviour,
Because He first loved me.

I'm trusting, only trusting
In Jesus ev'ry hour,
Who saves me by His mercy,
And keeps me by His power;
I'll publish His salvation
Wherever I may be;
With all my heart I love Him,
Because He first loved me.

I'm trusting, only trusting
My Saviour's hand to guide;
I know His grace sufficient,
And ask for naught beside;
My soul is on the mountain,
My home beyond the sea:
O bless the Lord! I love Him,
Because He first loved me.

Chorus:
Because He first loved me.
I love Him, I love Him,
Because He first loved me:
I trust Him, I trust Him,
Wherever I may be.
My soul is full of glory,
I sing because I'm free;
I love my blessed Saviour,
Because He first loved me.

God, give us eyes to see
the beauty of the Spring,
And to behold Your majesty
in every living thing -

And may we see in lacy leaves
and every budding flower
The Hand that rules the universe
with gentleness and power -

And may this Easter grandeur
that Spring lavishly imparts
Awaken faded flowers of faith
lying dormant in our hearts,

And give us ears to hear, dear God,
the Springtime song of birds
With messages more meaningful
than man's often empty words

Telling harried human beings
who are lost in dark despair -
'Be like us and do not worry
for God has you in His care.

It's only through mistakes we make
We learn where we went wrong.
It's only when we're far from home
We realize where we belong.

It's only when we close our eyes
Our dreams seem clear and bright.
It's only in our darkest hours
We truly see the light.

It's only when we lose our way
We pray to the stars above.
It's only through times of grief
We learn the true meaning of love.

It's only when all hope seems lost
And our weary journey seems so far,
When all the world's against you,
We learn how strong we really are.

All things are sent to try us.
We must strive and give our best.
I believe God is watching over us,
And he guides us in our quest.

Our God is so gracious, merciful and lovingly kind
In his Word He gives us sweet peace of mind
He remembers our frame and that we are dust
Though He is so perfect and holy and just

He removes our transgressions as far as the east is from the west
and with Christ's righteousness we then are dressed
When he looks at our heart He does not see sins we have done
But instead sees the blood of His only begotten son

Where would we be without God's merciful grace
Our lives would certainly be in a hopeless case
God says he will remember our sins no more
He forgets them all and for us has rich blessings in store

God's love and mercy will endure forever and ever
and from his great love nothing can sever

Psalm 118: 29 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever
