St. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Notice that Jesus did not say, “Christians shall not live by bread alone”; He said “man.” The Word of God applies to all people and all areas of life. It is the hour when believers need to hear and speak the counsel of God into every sphere. There is a fresh Word proceeding out of God’s mouth to your ear—can you hear it? Everything changes the moment you do.

Midweek Encouragement

In Luke 4:18, Jesus tells us exactly who He is and why He came. Quoting Isaiah, He says the Holy Spirit anointed Him to bring good news to the poor, give sight to the blind, set captives and the oppressed free, and heal those who are broken in body and spirit.

If God has spoken it, you can ask for it — and He will do it. Your miracle is already promised in His Word. But we must come to God with a sincere heart and believe.

Remember: “You don’t have it because you don’t ask.” When our prayers line up with God’s will, His plans, and His heart, He hears us and answers.
1 John 5:14

17 - And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 - they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Faithfulness builds trust, Joseph was faithful in the Potiphar's Household and he was entrusted with the whole nation. When you are faithful with the little, you will be trusted with more because the little things are big in the eyes of God. Let us begin to look in the perspective of God. Can God trust you?
