Bible verses related to Cults from the King James Version (KJV)

2 John 1:7-11 - For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2 Peter 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Leviticus 19:31 - Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 - There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Matthew 7:15-17 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (Read More...)

Acts 20:24 however, I considered my life Worth nothing to me,if only I may finish the race and complete the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace**** this is the way we should be praying every day in our life..Paul considered his life worthless for he knew that this physical body will never be eternal,it is a mortal being. But the spiritual being is immortal, it is eternal.. May God through the holy spirit give us understanding that we can know him better and what he wants us to do. May he help us to only focus on the unseen and to put less effort on the physical things.

NEVER BLAME GOD FOR ANY SITUATION YOU FIND YOURSELF

One day, a man decided to travel by ship with his friends. While in the middle of their journey, the boat began to sink. Everyone tried to escape by swimming but it was all in vain. All drowned except this man who succeeded in clinging to a floating object. With the effect of strong winds, the object took him very far, to a small island where there were no men or animals, just a few insects. With the sweat of his brow, he managed to build a small box entirely made of straw. He stayed there for several days eating fruits and began to get used to his new life of suffering (even if he did not get used to it). He eventually began to lose all hope of seeing his family again any day.
Every night he lit a fire in front of his house to warm himself. One evening, as usual, he lit the fire. He stayed there for a long time until he dozed off. Late in the night, he was awakened by an overwhelming heat: It was his straw hut that caught fire. He cried, accusing and blaming God, shouting, "Oh God, what have I done to you to hurt me so? You separated me from my family to bring me to this deserted island, then you killed all my friends and now you let my hut burn. Why are you so hard on me? It is better to die because I am tired of living in this suffering!"
But at dawn, he saw a small boat coming towards him. When the boat landed, he ran straight for the captain and said to him in astonishment, "Captain, how did you get here?" No boat can get there unless he gets lost. " The captain replied, "In the night we saw a fire and we thought it was a burning boat, and we did not arrive immediately because the journey was long. We thought that you used the fire in order for us to find you. "The man cried, fell on his knees and asked God for forgiveness, and he got into the boat and went home and reunited with his family.

LESSON: God has many ways of solving our problems. You can lose a job and think that God has left you when He wants to give you a better job. Your friends can leave you, do not believe that the LORD has rejected you, He wants to keep you away from bad companies. Do not curse your God even if you suffer, keep faith and hope, He will act.

Amen

TEXT : Nehemiah 3: 1
Isaiah 28: 6
SPEAKER : Bishop Dr Isaac Ndegwa
THEME : Servicing, Strengthening and Ruling Over The Gates.

The stability of the gates determines the peace of mind that the occupants of the house /home
Just as Jeremiah was keen on the security of the gate preventing the invasion into the territory of the tribe of Israel by other tribes.
The storms or life come to us in every season that we may have in our lives . They will always be there in all that we undertake .

When gates are insecure,
1.We Live in perseverance
2. There is a hidden enemy in our lives who Robs us of our Blessings; We receive only half of that which God has put for us .

The Gates to Deal With;
1. Fish Gate : As the Children of Israel sold fish at gates to make money, so we should fill the Kingdom of God with Souls and Service to Him . When we are faithful in preaching His word to nonbelievers , the Lord in turn releases His Blessings unto our Lives .
2. : Sheep Gates : It the entrance that Christ declared in John 14:6. The Devil attacks by weakening our Salvation and Faith in order to take us away from God . - We should be prayerful and Guard our Salvation and Live right in a life that pleases God.

He returns tonight as he continues with the Great message. Be blessed and, please invite a friend as you come

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Wednesday,November 11th 2020

*"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."* James 1:19, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:
*Be Slow to Speak.*

When somebody gets on your nerves and you feel annoyed, you can't just pop off and say everything you feel. You need to step back, take a deep breath, and think about what you're going to say. Don't speak out of your emotions and let your tongue run wild. Be disciplined and calm down. Some things are better left unsaid. You don't have to win every argument, or comment on every situation, or set everyone straight. Even when you know they're wrong, ask yourself, "Is this worth fighting over?" Just bite your tongue and let it go.

Do you know how many headaches you could save yourself if you would just zip it up and not make hurtful comments you're going to regret later? It takes seconds to say it, but years later the pain may still be felt. It's much better to be slow to speak, to think about what you're going to say, and never damage your relationships.

Prayer for Today:

_"Father, thank You for Your goodness, love, and faithfulness in my life. I know that my words are powerful and that I must be disciplined to not speak out of my emotions. I choose to be slow to speak, slow to become angry, and quick to let things go. In Jesus' Name, Amen."_

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Monday, November 9th 2020

*"He replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish--unless we go and buy food for all this crowd."* Luke 9:13, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:
*Give What You Have.*

Late in the day, after Jesus had been teaching thousands of people, He said to His disciples, "You give them something to eat." There was no food out there in the wilderness. It seemed as though what Jesus asked was impossible. But God will never ask you to do something and then not give you the ability to do it. "The people at work are driving me crazy." When God gave you that job, He gave you the ability to be there with a good attitude. "I can't accomplish my dreams. I don't know the right people." The moment God put the dream in your heart, He lined up everything you need to bring it to pass.

Jesus prayed over the loaves and fish, and they supernaturally multiplied, feeding probably fifteen thousand people plus there were basketfuls of leftovers. Give God what you have, and He will multiply it. Are you talking yourself out of something God has put in your heart?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 🙏:

_"Father, thank You that You take the loaves and the fishes in my life and multiply them whenever I put them into Your hands. Thank You that I can give You my dreams and goals, and You will do something great with them. I gladly surrender my life to You today. In Jesus' Name, Amen."_

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

_" A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."_ Proverbs 17:22, ESV

TODAY'S WORD:
*Don't Give Up.*

Throughout life, there will always be something that will try to take our joy. If it’s not a grumpy sales person, it’s a family member aggravating you, traffic is backed up, your flight got delayed, or your spouse is taking too long! Don’t go the next twenty years allowing the same people and same circumstances to frustrate you. Change your approach. What’s upsetting you now doesn’t have to upset you anymore.

You can choose to keep your cool and stay calm and steady. Remember, a relaxed attitude is going to lengthen your life. The next time you’re tempted to be upset, ask yourself, “Is this really worth me giving up my joy?” If you’ll make the decision to not give away your joy but live each day happy, God promises you’ll be strong, you’ll have better relationships, and you’ll accomplish more. He says a joyful heart is good medicine! Hold on to your joy and move forward into the abundant life God has in store!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

_" Father, today I will hold on to joy! I choose to live each day with peace and happiness. I choose to rely on Your strength and Your Word which guides my every step. I love You and thank You for loving and directing me in Jesus’ name. Amen."_

Blessed 🙏 weekend.

MONDAY EVENING PRAYER
To you all praises we joyfully sing,
Almighty and ever living King,
To you we raise our hearts in joyous praise,
Who gives us blessings beyond all ways,
Father of mercy and compassion unceasing,
We ask for the blessing of your forgiving,
For many are the times we've fallen in sinfulness,
But we trust in your mercy and forgiveness,
Oh Lord our God source of all wisdom and blessing,
Help us we pray to put away our selfishness,
And lead us to the joy of being selfless,
May we give generously of our treasure, time and talents,
To make life more bearable for those in need,
May we also devote our prayers for others not just ourselves,
That you may grant them the desires of their hearts,
According to your will and timing so perfect,
As we rest this night grant us abundance of peace we pray,
And bless us with the precious gift of a new day,
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
AMEN
*_Take a step to make a small difference in the life of others_*
