Have you ever noticed something quietly dangerous happening in church?

There are people who come every Sunday… but never actually attend the service.

They are there — but not present.

The security team is at the gate from morning till afternoon.
The ushers are busy arranging seats, guiding people, moving up and down.
The hospitality team is serving others.
The worship team sings powerfully… then disappears before the Word begins.
Media team comes to take pictures ,Livestream the service and does not attend the service at all
Even some pastors arrive only when it’s time to preach.

In the place of serving God is the easiest way to backslide .

Everyone is serving… but not everyone is receiving.

And here is the truth many don’t talk about:

One of the easiest places to backslide is not outside the church — it is inside the place of ministry.

You become so busy doing things for God that you forget to be with God.

You stop reading the Bible to grow…
and start reading it only to prepare sermons or posts.

You stop praying for intimacy…
and start praying only for power, results, and performance.

You stop sitting at His feet…
because you are always running around His house.

Remember the story in the Bible of Mary of Bethany and Martha of Bethany.

Martha was busy doing something good — serving.
But Mary chose something better — being with Jesus.

Martha was distracted with activity.
Mary was anchored in intimacy.

And Jesus made it clear… only one of them chose what truly matters.

This is where many content creators also fall into danger.

You listen to sermons, not to be transformed… but to create posts.
You study scriptures, not to encounter God… but to produce material.
You pray, not to commune… but to maintain influence.

It looks spiritual on the outside…
but inside, something is drying up.

And the most dangerous part?
You may not even notice it.

Because you are still active.
You are still visible.
You are still “useful.”

But heaven is not moved by activity — it is moved by relationship.

Never forget this warning:

“Many will say, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not do all these things in your name?’
And He will say, ‘I never knew you.’”

Not “you never served.”
Not “you never worked.”
But “I never knew you.”

That means it is possible to serve God… and still lose intimacy with Him.

So guard your heart.

Before ministry — choose Him.
Before service — choose Him.
Before platforms — choose Him.
Before influence — choose Him.

Make sure your secret place is alive.
Make sure your Bible is still speaking to you.
Make sure your prayers are still about relationship, not just results.

Because at the end of the day…

God is not just looking for servants.

He is looking for sons.
He is looking for lovers.
He is looking for people who will sit at His feet… even when there is work to be done.

Don’t lose God while working for Him.

Choose intimacy — every single time.

Join the church tomorrow as we celebrate the love and goodness of our Lord. Connect with us online in case distance does not allow physical attendance. We start with prayers of intercession at 9:30am EAT, take a break from streaming for one hour to allow for Life groups bible studies and then resume streaming at 11am EAT.

Come to Jesus! He loves you. He died on the cross that you may receive mercy and become a child of God. He is the King of the Kingdom of God.

THE FRUIT OF HIDDEN ANGER

1. It Destroys Spiritual Joy

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” — Proverbs 17:22

When a person hides anger in their heart, it slowly drains their joy. It becomes hard to smile, hard to worship, and hard to rejoice in the presence of God. Hidden anger is like a silent sickness that eats away at one’s spiritual life.

2. It Makes Our Words and Behavior Bitter

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” — Matthew 12:34

If there is anger stored in the heart, it will eventually manifest through words. A person becomes harsh, easily irritated, and quick to hurt others. Hidden anger produces bitterness that becomes visible in our speech and actions.

3. It Damages Relationships with Others

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger… be put away from you.” — Ephesians 4:31

No relationship can grow strong when there is unresolved anger. Trust slowly fades, unity breaks, and friendships weaken. Hidden anger separates hearts that were meant to stay united.

4. It Hinders Prayer and Blessings

“When ye stand praying, forgive…” — Mark 11:25

God is a God of forgiveness. When we hold onto anger, it becomes a barrier between us and God. It’s not that God does not want to bless us, but we have allowed something to block the flow of His blessings.

Hidden anger is like a fire—silent yet destructive. It destroys the heart, then relationships, and eventually our spiritual life. This is not God’s will for His children. His desire is a clean heart, a peaceful mind, and a joyful spirit. fans
