[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Wala msiifuatishe namna ya dunia hii; bali mgeuzwe kwa kufanywa upya nia zenu, mpate kujua hakika mapenzi ya Mungu yaliyo mema, ya kumpendeza, na ukamilifu.
[3]For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Kwa maana kwa neema niliyopewa namwambia kila mtu aliyeko kwenu asinie makuu kupita ilivyompasa kunia; bali awe na nia ya kiasi, k**a Mungu alivyomgawia kila mtu kiasi cha imani.

[2]And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
Wenyeji wakatufanyia fadhili zisizokuwa za kawaida. Kwa maana waliwasha moto, wakatukaribisha sote, kwa sababu ya mvua iliyonyesha na kwa sababu ya baridi.

Paulo alipokuwa amekusanya mzigo wa kuni, na kuuweka motoni, nyoka akatoka kwa ajili ya ule moto akamzonga-zonga mkononi.
