FALSE, FAKE & TRUE PROPHET
FALSE PROPHET
● Has access to the spirit world
● Hears and sees spiritual things
● Can be extremely accurate
● HIS SOURCE IS NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT
● Has a different SPIRITUAL source. (Marine powers, familiar spirits etc)
● May not know he's false, if he doesn't know the Word of God.
● Knows he's false if he knowingly taps into occultic powers for spiritual power
FAKE PROPHET
● Doesn't have prophetic access to spiritual world
● Can't see or hear spiritual things
● Uses experience and skill to MANIPULATE people
● Mostly motivated by FINANCIAL GAIN
● KNOWS HE'S FAKE
TRUE PROPHET
● Is serving God truly and sincerely
● Genuine call can have human weaknesses and struggles needing help or discipline
● Delivers what he believes God has said
● Is striving to obey, uphold & teach scripture, not spectacular experiences
● Depends solely on the Holy Spirit
● CAN BE WRONG AT TIMES, depending on interpretation, state of heart etc. Eg Prophet Samuel about Eliab & David
● Is willing to have 2 or 3 OTHER witnesses establish word given to him
● Exercises authority UNDER authority
Bottom line. It's not the ACCURACY or lack thereof, the spectacular or the miraculous that determines who's true or false, but the SOURCE. Always ask the Holy Spirit about the SOURCE. He will witness to you.
