Message: God's Chosen Purpose For Us.

Speaker: Segullah Kazuri

Main Text: Ephesians 6:10.

> What is Purpose?
Reason why something exists and the direction it should take.

✓ God has given us all we need according to his purpose for us.
✓ All this is for God's glory.
✓ 1 Cor 10:13 - even in tough challenging times, your purpose will be manifest.
✓ Phil 1:3-6 & Rom 8:28 - Pray and ask God to show you your life purpose.
✓ Jer 28:11 - God has all your life purposes laid down. Discover it today.

Examples.
✓ Moses though a stammerer initially didn't look like he knew his purpose as he gave lame excuses.
✓ Jesus' main purpose was to die to save the world.

Steps To Know Your Purpose
1. Pray daily asking God to show your purpose
2. Know God from a personal level and fear him - Ecc 12:13.
3. Reflect God.

Reflection Questions?
1. What is my purpose in life?
2. Why was I born?
3. Does my actions represent & reflect God to other people? Matt 5:16.
4. What would be worth my life living for?

Conclusion
✓ The Lord will perfect what concerns you according to Psalm 138:8.

Expansion and Repentance
Speaker: Martha Chebunga.

Main Text: Acts 3:

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,

21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Definition of expansion - make it bigger or create more space.

Definition of repentance - admit you have done wrong, ask for forgiveness then completely turn away from the error.

Expansion then comes through:
a) Taking good care of the resources God has given you.
✓ Make sure there is no wastage. The excess can be a blessing to someone else. Do you remember the story where Jesus fed thousands of people and 12 baskets were collected as food remains? Think of this, where were the baskets taken after the party?

b) Obeying God's commandments
✓ Obedience is doing what the scripture says. Obedience is better than sacrifices. Keep obeying no matter what.

c) Doing what pleases the Lord. Such as:
✓ Spreading the Gospel. You don't need a license to preach the Gospel. Just open your mouth and speak.
✓ Do not be afraid of sharing your testimony openly and regularly.
✓ Give or share your resources with others to create room for more.

d) Being humble (Isaiah 43:18).
✓ God lifts the humble.
✓ Focus on going forward not backwards.
✓ God is our Father and He will do it for you.
✓ Ask God to be with you all the time.
✓ Pray, belief and don't doubt (Phil 4:6, 1 Peter 5:7).

In conclusion:
✓ God will bless you at His own time - do not rush Him!
✓ Wait patiently for the appointed time.

Living A Holy Life

Main Text: Colossians 3:1-8.
How to maintain a holy life.

1. Seek heavenly things all the time by maintaining a consistent connection with God the Father.

2. Kill the flesh as its demands are contrary to the Spirit. Do not yield to the desires of the flesh.

3. Be imitators of Christ by walking in the light as He is the Light. Do away with darkness and the dark side of the night (Eph 5:11; 1 Thes 5:5 & Ps 119:105).

4. Draw near to God daily and he will draw near to you (Jam 4:8). Do this through consistent prayer (1 Thess 5:16), genuine confession (Jam 5:16) & persistent seeking (Luke 11:5-8).

5. Be a man of the word for illumination of your heart and proper guidance (Ps 119:105).

6. Regular fellowship with others for warmth and encouragement (Col 3:16).

7. A repentant humble heart (1 Thess 4:1-7).
