BLEEDING FROM THE PULPIT

Some pastors are preaching FIRE while BLEEDING quietly inside.

The mic is LOUD, the sermon is POWERFUL, but the heart is WOUNDED.

You see the preacher shouting “Praise the Lord!” but inside they’re TIRED, offended, BROKEN, or BURNT out.

They ENCOURAGE marriages while their own is under PRESSURE. They preach FAITH, while privately battling DOUBT. They COUNSEL others, while carrying WOUNDS nobody asks about. They pray for a FINANCIAL breakthrough, while they themselves need a FINANCIAL miracle.

And because they’re leaders, they feel they must always be STRONG.

God is not impressed by performance without HEALING. Elijah, after calling FIRE from heaven, still collapsed under EMOTIONAL exhaustion. Even Paul admitted, “We were burdened beyond measure."

Meaning great men of God also BLEED.

Remember, HURT leaders end up hurting people. When wounds are ignored, they leak through ANGER, control, HARSH words, PRIDE, or MANIPULATION.

God cares about the SHEPHERD, not just the SERMON.

Healing is not a weakness, it’s wisdom. Rest is not laziness, it’s obedience. Even Jesus withdrew to pray and rest.

You don’t have to BLEED publicly to prove you’re ANOINTED.

You can’t keep pouring, when the cup is cracked. Fix the cup first.

Pray for your Pastor, they are also HUMAN.

*THE GOSSIP MINISTRY*

*(Matthew 5:9)* _Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God._

Every church has departments: K**A, MOTHER UNION, KAYO, worship, ushering, media and then there’s the hidden one: *"The Gossip Ministry".*

These ones don’t need a microphone, their mouth is a public address system. They don’t attend meetings, but they know *EVERYTHING.*

Their favourite line is: *_“i don't know whether it is true, but let’s pray”._* Another classic is: *_“Don’t tell anyone I told you.”_*

Yet five minutes later, the whole church knows about it.

This ministry works *OVERTIME* after service. You’ll find them whispering in a church corner, like they’re *NEGOTIATING* for something.

*THE DAMAGE?*

✅ Unity dies slowly.
✅ People start serving with suspicion.
✅ New believers get confused.
✅ Leaders get discouraged.
✅ The altar that should be full of FIRE, becomes full of STORIES.

✓ Instead of PRAYING, we INVESTIGATE.
✓ Instead of HEALING, we LABEL.
✓ Instead of LOVE, we COMPETE.

If it’s not your STORY, don’t CARRY it. If it’s not your BURDEN, don’t ADVERTISE it. *_Let’s be a church that speaks LIFE, not RUMOURS._*

If you must share NEWS, make sure it BUILDS, not BREAKS.

Some people don’t have the gift of DISCERNMENT, they have the anointing of “hearsay”.

*AVOID GOSSIP, IT KILLS RELATIONSHIPS.*

*(Proverbs 16:28 NLT)*
_A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends._

PUT YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER

Text: Isaiah 38:1

INTRODUCTION

In Isaiah 38:1, the prophet Isaiah delivers a sobering message to King Hezekiah: “Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

These words serve as a powerful reminder of life’s urgency—none of us can predict when our time will come.

To “put your house in order” means to align your life with God’s will, to seek peace with Him and with others, and to address the hidden issues that can tear apart our families, churches, and communities.

Today, we’ll reflect on five obstacles that keep us from living in harmony: injustice, discrimination, frustrations, hatred, and pride of life.

1. INJUSTICE – The Voice of the Oppressed

Injustice occurs when truth is silenced and fairness is denied.

God despises injustice: “Woe to those who make unjust laws” (Isaiah 10:1).

In our world, we witness it through corruption, the oppression of the poor, unequal opportunities, and exploitation.

When injustice seeps into our homes, workplaces, or communities, our house is far from being in order.

✅ Let’s choose fairness and integrity. As Micah 6:8 reminds us: “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

2. DISCRIMINATION – The Sin of Division

Discrimination tears people apart based on tribe, race, gender, social class, or even denomination.

Yet in Christ, “there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).

When we discriminate, we block God’s blessings and sadden the Spirit.

✅ We need to put our house in order by fostering unity, love, and respect for everyone. God’s kingdom is meant to be inclusive.

3. FRUSTRATIONS – The Weight of Broken Hopes

Life is filled with challenges that lead to frustrations—when plans fall through, when opportunities vanish, when people let us down.

Frustration can breed bitterness, doubt, and spiritual weakness.

But Jesus reminds us in John 16:33: “In this world, you will face challenges. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

✅ Instead of letting frustrations get the best of you, turn them into prayers. Just like Hezekiah, who turned his face to the wall and prayed, and God added years to his life (Isaiah 38:2–5).

4. HATRED – The Cancer of the Heart

Hatred can tear apart relationships, families, and even nations. It often stems from a place of unforgiveness and a desire for revenge.

1 John 4:20 tells us: “If anyone claims, ‘I love God,’ but hates his brother, he is a liar.”

Hatred creates chaos in our lives, filling our homes with spiritual darkness.

✅ Let’s choose to forgive, to love, and to bless even those who may persecute us (Romans 12:14). A well-ordered home is a home filled with love.

5. PRIDE OF LIFE – The Root of All Fall

Pride is the very sin that led to Satan’s downfall (Isaiah 14:12–15).

It tricks us into believing we don’t need God, that our achievements are solely our own.

1 John 2:16 cautions us: “The pride of life does not come from the Father but from the world.”

Pride leads to disorder, while humility opens the door to grace: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6).

✅ Get your house in order by walking humbly before God. Acknowledge His authority in every aspect of your life.

CONCLUSION

God instructed Hezekiah: “Put your house in order.” That same message resonates with us today.

✅ Are we living unjustly? Discriminating against others? Overwhelmed by frustrations? Holding onto hatred? Walking in pride?
✅ God invites us to repent, to forgive, to humble ourselves, and to embrace justice and love.
✅ When Hezekiah prayed, God granted him 15 more years. Similarly, when we set our lives in order, God will bless us with renewed hope and strengthen our families.

Dear friends, life is fleeting. Let’s not wait for the end to make things right. Today, let’s choose to:

✅ Act justly.
✅ Love without bias.
✅ Transform frustrations into prayers.
✅ Replace hatred with forgiveness

DAILY POWER

STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

“They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.” (Psalm 84:7 NIV)

Today's verse paints a powerful image of a faithful journey; one marked not by exhaustion, but by increasing strength. The psalmist describes the pilgrim’s path to Zion (God’s presence) as a path of growing might and unwavering hope.

In our walk with God, challenges will come. But for those whose hearts are set on Him, each step forward is not a step of weakness, but a renewal of spiritual energy. God doesn’t just sustain us, He builds us up.

DEDICATION TO ALL CHURCH MINISTERS HERE.

TITLE: STATE-MANAGED FRUSTRATIONS AND PROBLEMS

Text: 2 Samuel 11:15 “In it he wrote, ‘Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.’” (NIV)

INTRODUCTION

Beloved pastors and fellow laborers in God’s vineyard,

The call to ministry is a high and noble calling, but it does not exempt us from battles; particularly those carefully orchestrated behind the scenes.

In 2 Samuel 11:15, we find a dark, sobering moment in Israel’s history. David, a man after God’s own heart, penned a letter instructing Joab to send Uriah to the fiercest part of the battle and then withdraw, ensuring Uriah’s death.

This was no random accident. It was STATE-MANAGED..

As pastors, we must understand that some frustrations, betrayals, and attacks we face are not merely coincidences or natural troubles — they are deliberate, calculated schemes. Let us learn from this text how to recognize, navigate, and overcome stage-managed frustrations and problems in ministry.

1. MINISTRY ATTRACTS SCHEMES

David, a leader chosen and anointed by God, fell into sin. To hide it, he carefully arranged circumstances to eliminate Uriah.

✅ Uriah was loyal, committed, and blameless; yet became the victim of a hidden plot.

✅ The most painful wounds often come from people in positions of trust and influence.

Psalm 41:9 (NIV): “Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.”

Pastors, the higher your calling and influence, the greater the enemy’s interest in stage- managing your downfall.

2. HOW STATE-MANAGED PROBLEMS MANIFEST in MINISTRY.

a. CHARACTER ASSASSINATION

✅ False accusations planted to destroy your credibility.
✅ Rumors spread subtly by those close to you.
✅ “Letters” written — not on paper like David’s, but through conversations, social media, or secret meetings.

b. MINISTRY SET UPS

✅ Invitations to partnerships meant to entrap you in scandals.
✅ Financial traps designed to accuse you of mismanagement.

c. SPIRITUAL ATTACKS

✅ Coordinated spiritual warfare against your HEALTH, FAMILY, or PEACE.
✅ Carefully timed crises to distract you from your calling.

d. EMOTIONAL ISOLATION

✅ People withdrawing or withdrawn suddenly.
✅ Feeling alone despite being surrounded by people.

Like Uriah, many pastors have carried “letters” that sealed their own battles, unaware they were stepping into engineered traps.

3. Why STATE-MANAGED FRUSTRATIONS Happen to PASTORS

✅ To Silence Your Voice: The enemy fears the anointed word in your mouth.
✅ To Distract From Purpose: David lost focus on kingship and fell into moral failure. The enemy wants pastors distracted from prayer, study, and shepherding.
✅ To Discredit Your Witness: Satan knows that a fallen pastor becomes a stumbling block for many.
✅ To Divide the Flock: Stage-managed problems often result in church splits or division.

Zechariah 13:7 (NIV): “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.”

4. HOW TO RECOGNIZE STATE-MANAGED PROBLEMS

✅ Sudden, repetitive attacks from unusual sources.
✅ Accusations with no basis but significant traction.
✅ Strategic timing — major attacks often come before significant breakthroughs.
✅ Spiritual unease — the Holy Spirit gives warnings.

2 Corinthians 2:11 (NIV): “…in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.”

Pastors/Ministers of the gospel, never ignore discernment. If you feel uneasy, pray. The Holy Spirit reveals hidden plots.

5. HOW TO OVERCOME STATE-MANAGED PROBLEMS

a. MAINTAIN INTEGRITY

David’s manipulation was fueled by his own sin. Personal compromise opens doors for conspiracies.

✅ Proverbs 28:18 (NIV): “The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe.”

Guard your:

✅ Private life
✅ Finances
✅ Relationships
✅ Emotional boundaries

b. BE TRANSPARENT AND ACCOUNTABLE

Have trusted elders, spiritual fathers, or accountability partners.

✅ Isolation is dangerous for pastors.

c. STAY IN PRAYER AND FASTING

Some conspiracies are spiritual. Prayer breaks hidden traps.

✅ Psalm 64:2-4 (NIV): “Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked…”

d. RELY ON God’s VINDICATION

Fight battles on your knees, not in the flesh.

Let God defend your name.

✅ Isaiah 54:17 (NIV): “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.”

e. WALK IN LOVE AND FORGIVENESS

David’s plot stemmed from bitterness and fear. UNFORGIVENESS fuels more conspiracies.

✅ Love your enemies.
✅ Pray for those who plot against you.

6. ENCOURAGEMENT FOR PASTORS

The same God who later exposed David’s sin through Nathan the prophet can expose every secret conspiracy against you.

The battle you’re facing may be stage-managed — but God can unmask every enemy.

✅ Your ministry is still relevant.
✅ Your calling is still intact.
✅ Your destiny cannot be canceled by any letter, plot, or scheme.

Hold your head high. Keep preaching. Keep praying. Keep shepherding. God is your Defender!

CONCLUSION

Stage-managed frustrations are real in ministry. Like Uriah, many faithful servants fall victim to hidden plots. But as pastors, we must stay vigilant, discerning, and pure. God is faithful. He fights unseen battles and turns conspiracies into testimonies.

TOPIC: PRIDE – THE DOWNFALL OF KING UZZIAH

"But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense." (2 Chronicles 26:16 NIV)

INTRODUCTION.

Pride is one of the most subtle yet destructive sins in the life of a believer. It often grows silently, especially during seasons of success, power, and prosperity. King Uzziah’s life is a sobering reminder that no matter how greatly God uses us, pride can bring it all crashing down.

1. Uzziah’s RISE to POWER (2 Chronicles 26:1–15)

Before diving into verse 16, it's essential to understand the context.

YOUNG and FAVORED: Uzziah became king at 16 and reigned for 52 years. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

DIVINE HELP: God gave him success in battle, expansion of his kingdom, innovation, and fame.

SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE: As long as he sought the Lord under Zechariah’s mentorship, he prospered (v. 5).

📝 Success in itself is not the problem. The danger lies in forgetting the Source of our success.

2. THE SIN of PRIDE (v. 16)

"But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall."

PRIDE in POSITION: Uzziah forgot his role as king and wanted to act as priest—burning incense was strictly for priests (Numbers 16:40).

PRESUMPTION and REBELLION: Pride made him think he was above God’s law.

SPIRITUAL UNFAITHFULNESS: He disrespected the sacred order and disobeyed God's command.

📝: Pride often starts with entitlement. We begin to think we are above CORRECTION, ACCOUNTABILITY, or even SCRIPTURE.

3. THE CONSEQUENCES of PRIDE (vv. 17–21)

CONFRONTATION by the PRIESTS: Brave priests led by Azariah confronted the king. Uzziah became angry instead of REPENTANT.

IMMEDIATE JUDGMENT: While raging at the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead- God's swift judgment.

LIFETIME of ISOLATION: Uzziah lived as a l***r, in a separate house, cut off from the temple of the Lord until his death.

📝 : Pride not only damages our relationship with God, but also isolates us from others and disqualifies us from our roles.

4. LESSONS FROM Uzziah’s FALL

a) SUCCESS Is a TEST of CHARACTER

Prosperity reveals more about us than poverty.

Are we growing in humility as we rise?

b) NO ONE Is ABOVE God’s WORD

God's standards do not change based on our position or success.

Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22).

c) PRIDE LEADS to a FALL

Proverbs 16:18 – “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Pride disconnects us from grace (James 4:6 – “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”)

5. GUARDING AGAINST PRIDE

STAY TEACHABLE: Surround yourself with people who can correct you.

REMAIN PRAYERFUL: Constant dependence on God helps keep pride in check.

GIVE GOD GLORY: Publicly acknowledge God's hand in your life.

REMEMBER THE CROSS: The Gospel reminds us that we are saved by grace, not merit.

CONCLUSION

Uzziah started well, was greatly used by God, and prospered beyond many of his peers. But one fatal flaw-pride- brought it all down. Let us learn from his life: the higher we go, the deeper we must root ourselves in humility.

✅ Is there an area in your life where pride has crept in?
✅ Are you taking God’s glory or assuming roles not meant for you?
✅ Do you find it hard to accept correction?

THE DANGER OF HARDENED LEADERSHIP

“Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.” (Proverbs 29:1)

INTRODUCTION

Today, we address an urgent and often overlooked issue: Leadership, Injustice, and the Frustration of Staff and other workers.

This message is drawn from Proverbs 29:1, a verse that warns against the arrogance of UNCHECKED LEADERSHIP and the consequences of ignoring correction.

I. THE STIFF-NECKED LEADER: A BIBLICAL WARNING

“Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes…”

"STIFF-NECKED" means unyielding, prideful, resistant to correction.

God rebuked Israel for being stiff-necked (Exodus 32:9).

Today, some leaders adopt this same attitude:

✅ Refuse advice
✅ Ignore warnings
✅ Reject feedback

Refusing correction is the fast lane to destruction.

REFLECTIONS:

✅ Do I welcome correction?
✅ Have I become immune to feedback?
✅ What are the signs God is trying to get my attention?

II. LEADERSHIP INJUSTICE: WHEN AUTHORITY BECOMES OPPRESSION

Stubborn leadership often leads to injustice.

✅ Staff are ignored, silenced, or overworked.
✅ Fear replaces respect; oppression replaces vision.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLE: REHOBOAM (1 Kings 12)

Rejected elder advice and chose harshness.

RESULT: Division, rebellion, and loss of unity.

SIGNS OF INJUSTICE IN LEADERSHIP:

✅ Feedback is punished
✅ Overwork is normalized
✅ Favoritism is rampant
✅ Transparency is absent

REMINDER: The Lord hears the cry of the oppressed.

III. THE SILENT CRY OF FRUSTRATED STAFF

Many workers serve under toxic leadership, but their voices are muted.

✅ They suffer in silence.
✅ They fear backlash.
✅ They feel undervalued and unseen.

God’s Response:

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…”
(Proverbs 31:8–9)

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR STAFF:

✅ God sees and honors your faithfulness (Hebrews 6:10).
✅ Your labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
✅ He will raise up deliverance in due season.

IV. THE CALL TO GODLY LEADERSHIP

Leadership is a stewardship, not a status.

“The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve…”
(Mark 10:45)

QUALITIES OF GODLY LEADERSHIP:

1. HUMILITY – Teachable and open to correction.

2. JUSTICE – Treats all equally and fairly.

3. COMPASSION – Sees people, not just positions.

4. ACCOUNTABILITY – Submits to wise counsel and oversight.

QUESTIONS FOR SELF-EXAMINATION:

✅ Am I more focused on control than care?
✅ Do I empower or oppress?
✅ When was the last time I truly listened to my team?

V. A WORD TO ALL

Proverbs 29:1 is both a warning and an invitation.

✅ WARNING TO LEADERS: Destruction comes when correction is ignored.
✅ INVITATION TO CHANGE: Repentance opens the door to mercy.

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)

✅ Let us not wait for destruction to change.
✅ Let us lead with justice, humility, and grace now.

CONCLUSION:

Choose the Path of Wisdom

TO THE LEADER:

✅ Repent of pride.
✅ Listen again.
✅ Lead with justice.

TO THE STAFF:

Take your pain to Jesus. He sees, He hears, and He will vindicate.

TO THE CHURCH:

Create a culture of justice, feedback, and Christ-like leadership.

“ WHEN INJUSTICE BOOMERANGS ”

Esther 7:10 – “So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided.”

INTRODUCTION: THE IRONY OF JUSTICE

Have you ever seen someone fall into the very trap they set for someone else? There's a certain poetic justice when a scheme meant to hurt the innocent ends up destroying the one who devised it.

Esther 7:10 gives us a dramatic picture of this: “So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.”

This is not just the story of a man’s downfall. It’s the story of how social injustice, Tribal hatred, and abuse of power are exposed and judged. It’s the story of God’s silent but sovereign justice.

1. Haman: A SYMBOL of SOCIAL INJUSTICE

Before we reach Esther 7:10, we need to understand the depth of Haman’s evil:

A. HATRED AND PREJUDICE

Haman was promoted to high office (Esther 3:1), but one man—Mordecai—refused to bow.

Haman’s pride couldn’t tolerate it. But instead of dealing with Mordecai alone, Haman sought to exterminate all Jews (non locals) across the empire (Esther 3:6).

THIS is SYSTEMIC INJUSTICE — hatred so deep it turns into policies of GENOCIDE, against a whole ethnic group.

B. ABUSE OF POWER

Haman uses his influence with King Xerxes to push through a decree to kill every Jew (Esther 3:8–11).

He manipulates TRUTH, conceals his MOTIVES, and corrupts LEADERSHIP to serve his personal vengeance.

This is what injustice looks like today:
When the POWERFUL use their PLATFORMS to oppress the weak, when corruption thrives, when policies are passed that benefit the elite but crush the vulnerable.

2. God’s SILENT BUT SOVEREIGN HAND

Here’s the fascinating thing about the book of Esther — GOD IS NEVER MENTIONED.

Yet, His fingerprints are on every page.

A. GOD'S PROVIDENCE

Mordecai overhears a plot to assassinate the king (Esther 2:21–23).

The king “just happens” to lose sleep and reads the records (Esther 6:1).

Haman walks in just as the king is planning to REWARD Mordecai (Esther 6:4–11).

GOD IS NOT ABSENT. He’s actively working behind the scenes.

In times of injustice today, it may seem like God is silent. But Esther teaches us: GOD SEES EVERY INJUSTICE, AND HE IS NOT ASLEEP.

3. THE TURNING POINT: TRUTH REVEALED (Esther 7)

In Chapter 7, Esther finally speaks.

A. COURAGE TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER

Esther reveals her identity as a Jew and exposes Haman’s plot.

She doesn’t accuse out of BITTERNESS but out of NECESSITY — to save her people.

SPEAKING AGAINST INJUSTICE is COSTLY. BUT SILENCE IS DEADLY.

✅ What if Esther had stayed silent? What if we remain silent about injustice in our time?

B. EXPOSURE AND JUDGMENT

The king is enraged. Haman begs for mercy, but his time has run out.

The very gallows he built for Mordecai becomes his own sentence.

Esther 7:10: “So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided.”

4. THE JUSTICE OF GOD

This verse is not just about Haman’s punishment. It is about the PRINCIPLE OF DIVINE JUSTICE:

✅ Proverbs 26:27 – “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them.”

✅ Galatians 6:7 – “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

A. GOD'S JUSTICE IS POETIC

Haman's own trap becomes his grave.
Social injustice doesn’t go unnoticed by heaven- even if it seems to flourish for a time.

B. God’s JUSTICE IS PROTECTIVE

God defends His people. He lifts up the lowly and brings down the proud. After Haman’s death, the Jews are delivered, and Mordecai is promoted.

5. OUR RESPONSE TODAY

A. RESIST THE SPIRIT OF HAMAN

✅ Are we silent in the face of oppression?
✅ Do we harbor prejudice or pride in our hearts?
✅ Do we misuse influence for personal gain?

We must EXAMINE ourselves and REPENT.

B. BE AN ESTHER IN YOUR TIME

✅Speak up.
✅ Pray.
✅ Take risks for righteousness.

Use your position, however small, to defend the voiceless.

C. TRUST GOD'S JUSTICE

When we see evil prosper, remember: GOD is not FINISHED YET.

Like Mordecai and Esther, stay faithful and courageous. God will act — in His time.

CONCLUSION: WHEN JUSTICE BOOMERANGS.

Esther 7:10 reminds us that the oppressor will not escape forever. The Haman of today; whether in governments, corporations, or even churches- will be judged.

Let us live on the side of RIGHTEOUSNESS, MERCY, and TRUTH.

✅ In a world of injustice, may we always remember: God sees. God hears. God acts.

Micah 6:8 – “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”

TITLE: "A STANDARD OF INTEGRITY: TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND THE PEOPLE OF GOD"

"No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence." (Psalm 101:7 NIV)

I. INTRODUCTION

In a world filled with distortion, flattery, and manipulation, integrity has become rare.

Psalm 101 is a declaration of David’s commitment to righteousness in his leadership, both personal and public.

Verse 7 speaks directly to the kinds of people who cannot remain in his household or administration: the deceitful, the liars, and by implication, the sycophants and gossipers.

These are not merely personal failings, they are threats to justice.

II. THE Corrosive POWER OF DECEIT AND FLATTERY

Sycophants (flatterers) tell leaders what they want to hear, not what is true. This breeds injustice.

Proverbs 29:5 says, “A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.”

In political and religious settings, sycophants insulate leaders from the truth, enabling injustice.

God desires truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6). Integrity begins with honest voices around us.

III. THE DESTRUCTIVE NATURE OF LIES AND GOSSIP

Liars destroy trust, sow division, and distort justice.

Gossipers often operate under the guise of concern, but their real goal is character assassination and division.

Proverbs 6:16-19 lists “a false witness” and “one who stirs up conflict” among the things God hates.

In matters of social justice, lies and gossip derail truth and delay righteous outcomes.

IV. JUSTICE BEGINS AT THE HOUSE OF GOD

David says such people will not dwell in his house—this is both personal and political.

The church must reflect the same standard: no tolerance for deception and slander in leadership or membership.

Micah 6:8 reminds us: “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

A just society begins with just people.

V. A CALL TO SPEAK TRUTH AND PURSUE JUSTICE.

To individuals: Commit to truth-telling. Reject gossip and flattery. Be a voice for justice in your community.

To leaders: Surround yourself with truth-tellers, not sycophants. Make space for accountability.

To the church: Be a sanctuary of truth and a platform for justice.

CONCLUSION

Psalm 101:7 is a line in the sand: God does not tolerate deceit in His presence.
Let us be people of TRUTH, INTEGRITY, and JUSTICE, and cast out the deceit that undermines the kingdom of God.
