[1]Nanyi mlikuwa wafu kwa sababu ya makosa na dhambi zenu;
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
[2]ambazo mliziendea zamani kwa kuifuata kawaida ya ulimwengu huu, na kwa kumfuata mfalme wa uwezo wa anga, roho yule atendaye kazi sasa katika wana wa kuasi;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
[3]ambao zamani, sisi sote nasi tulienenda kati yao, katika tamaa za miili yetu, tulipoyatimiza mapenzi ya mwili na ya nia, tukawa kwa tabia yetu watoto wa hasira k**a na hao wengine.
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
[2]Mwangalieni Ibrahimu, baba yenu, na Sara, aliyewazaa; kwa maana alipokuwa mmoja tu nalimwita, nikambariki, nikamfanya kuwa wengi.

[6]BWANA, Mungu wetu, alituambia huko Horebu, akasema, Mlivyokaa katika mlima huu vyatosha;
The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
[7]geukeni mshike safari yenu mwende nchi ya milima ya Waamori, na mahali pote palipo karibu ya hapo, katika hiyo Araba, na nchi ya vilima-vilima, na huko Shefela, na Negebu, na pwani-pwani, nchi ya Wakanaani, na Lebanoni, mpaka mto huo mkubwa, mto wa Frati.
