RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SATURDAY 16TH JANUARY 2021

PRAISE MUST HAVE CONTENT .

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrews 13:15).

When we talk about praise in the New Testament, there’re many who don’t understand what it is. Praise is our profuse expression of appreciation of the goodness, blessings, kindness and righteousness of God. It’s the appreciation or confession of His character. When you say, “Lord, you’re gracious and kind; you’ve blessed me; you’re righteous, etc.,” you’re defining and appreciating His character; that’s praise.

When you worship the Lord in that light, it shows who He is in your life; it separates Him from everyone else and from everything else. When you thank Him for His goodness, provisions, blessings and all the wonderful things He’s given you, and done for you, you’re attributing those beautiful works to Him. The necessary result is that He’ll do more in your life.

You might have heard some people say, “Well, anybody can worship any way he chooses; I can decide to keep quiet and worship God in my mind”; that’s wrong. Yes, God knows what’s in your heart, yet Jesus said, “...When you pray, say…(Luke 11:2 NKJV). He didn’t say, “…think.” Worship must have content.

In the Old Testament, when the prophets or priests prayed, the contents of their prayers were written for us, showing that they vocalised it. Likewise, when Jesus prayed, He spoke out, such that others heard Him. He didn’t merely think in His mind.

It’s the same with worship; we worship God through the Spirit, and by the Word (in spirit and in truth)! We lift our hands to Him, making confessions to His Name: _*“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name”*_ (Hebrews 13:15). We eulogise and bless Him for His greatness, kindness, love, mercies and grace. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Blessed Jesus, you’re greater than all; you rule the heavens and the earth; everything from galaxies to governments; no name or power is outside the reign and dominion of your majesty! How great thou art, O Lord! You alone are God, worthy of all honour, majesty and praise, now and forever. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

PASTOR CHRIS.

THE WORD IS OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLE.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 7TH.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (1 TIMOTHY 4:1).

In these end times before the Rapture of the Church, one of the phenomena we’ll witness is apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Many will fall away from the Faith, because they gave heed to seducing spirits—spirits that lure people from believing in God, from believing the truth. These spirits lure men from the right path, to give attention to teachings, assertions and instructions of demons.

The doctrines of demons aren’t new. Eve sinned against God through a doctrine of Satan. Satan lied to her, lured her from the truth, and she was deceived (1 Timothy 2:14). Satan didn’t have any personal contact with her; he worked through the serpent to question the veracity of God’s instructions. The serpent suggested something else to her, which was a perversion of God’s Word. He said to her, “...Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (GENESIS 3:1).

It’s like what you find in certain circles today; while the Word of God teaches, “Love who you marry,” they say, “Marry who you love.” What are they aiming at? The idea of same-sex marriage! So, a man can say, “Well, marriage is about love; I’m in love with another man.” That’s the seduction; a doctrine of demons!

Many are being subtly lured into the wrong path, with scriptures being misinterpreted, and they think everything is fine; something is wrong. The Bible says, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith…” (2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV). There’s no other way to examine yourself besides the Word of God.

There’ll never be an updating of the Bible. What you believe and live by must be consistent with what the Bible says. The Word of God is, and must be, your guiding principle for life. That Word says, “Surely you know that the wicked will not possess God’s Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people who are immoral or who worship idols or are adulterers or homosexual perverts or who steal or are greedy or are drunkards or who slander others or are thieves—none of these will possess God’s Kingdom” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 GNB).

PRAYER:

Dear Father, thank you for your Word, which is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I believe, accept and live by your Word only. My thoughts, choices, ideas, opinions and decisions are subject to your Word. My steps are ordered by your Word, which is my ever-dependable guide, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

1 CORINTHIANS 3:11 (KJV)

ROMANS 12:2 (KJV)

2 CORINTHIANS 13:5 (NIV)

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES.

PASTOR CHRIS.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 3RD.

THE WORD AND YOUR EXPERIENCE.

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).

There’re people who say they pray and don’t receive answers. Some others lament that they gave so much to God, but never received much in return. There’re also those who say, “I’ve been speaking the Word over my body for a long time, yet I’m sick.” If you’ve found yourself in a similar situation, here’s something you should know: Your experience should never affect your confidence in the Word. The Word never fails.

The Word of God is truth, irrespective of what your experiences might be. Just because it’s been several days or months and there’s still no change as you expect doesn’t mean the Word isn’t working. You must understand that Christian growth and maturity is progressive and there’s a fight of faith.

There’s also the issue of your limited knowledge of the Word. Perhaps you don’t know enough on the subject you’re dealing with. Therefore, what you’re supposed to do is to keep feeding on the Word and exercising your faith. It’s a training.

If, for example, at a certain time in your life, it took you a while to use your faith to accomplish a certain goal, don’t be discouraged. Rather, grow your faith to the level where it can produce that same result anytime you want it! If it took you three months the first time, tell yourself, “Next time, I’ll get it in a week or even less.” Then, begin to study and meditate on the Word with your new goal in focus.

That’s how you train yourself in the Word and in the faith life; you don’t give up! You stand your ground, confident that God’s Word will prevail over circumstances and put you over all the time.

PRAYER:

Dear Father, thank you for the veracity of your Word. Irrespective of the adversities I face, I stay on your Word! Every unfavourable situation aligns with my nature as an associate of the God-kind. I keep my eyes on the Word, and I win always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE WORD ALIVE IN YOU....

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

Christmas means the Word has come; the Word is born. The Word became flesh and walked the streets; they beheld His glory until He was slain. But God raised Him up and showed Him openly to be alive with many infallible proofs. Now, He abides in you. Praise God!

They waited for the Word, expected His glory that the prophets spoke about; they expected His light, for gross darkness had covered the world and ignorance had gained the mastery. But then the Word came,
born of a virgin and walked this earth, full of glory, grace, and truth that all men might see and believe.

But many didn't recognize Him. He asked His disciples, “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” Sadly, they didn’t know Him, but Peter spoke up and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16). John calls Him, “the Word made flesh”; He gives us the actual origin of the man, Christ Jesus—He’s the Word that preexisted creation and by whom all things were created (John 1:1-3).

His birth brought joy to the world, a pure marvel to see the eternal Word of God wrapped in swaddling clothes; to be with, and walk amongst men! No wonder they called Him “Emmanuel” (God with us) (Matthew 1:23). He was born “Emmanuel,” but today, He’s the Word alive in you.

Every step Jesus took was the Word of God in motion; the Word personified. And the day you received Him to live in you, you became the Word in motion, for as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). No wonder Paul calls us the Epistle (Word) of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:3). Hallelujah!

PRAYER:

Thank you Father, for Christmas! Thank you for Christ Jesus in my life. The Word has come; Christ is born; He lived and died, to be born in my heart. He was born “Emmanuel,” but today, He’s the Word alive in me; He abides in me forever! Blessed be God!

FURTHER STUDY:

John 1:14 AMPC
And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.

John 14:16-17
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY

Friday, December 25th 2020

Pastor Chris

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew]... [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).

Jesus was born that men may have, and live the good life, as our theme scripture reveals. In John 10:10 AMPC, He said, “...I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”

You weren’t born to merely live, but to live the good life which He prepared for you ahead of time—an excellent life. Now, you can be full of enthusiasm, joy and strength, doing great things, blessing your world every day. It can be Christmas for you every day! That’s God’s plan and His Word to you even now; and His Word to you is all that matters.

You have something to celebrate, not just this season, but every day: His life in you; His Word in your spirit. No matter where you are in this world, no matter the challenges you may have faced, you can shout, “I’m free” because Jesus gave you a life that’s beyond this world, a life that’s superior to the decadence and corruption of this failing world; a life that’s divine; untainted and immune to sickness, disease and infirmities; a life that’s indestructible. Glory to God!

Maybe you’ve been living in fear because of an unfavourable diagnosis from the doctors about your health; the life in you is superior to sickness. You’ve arrived in the place where sickness and disease have lost their grip on you. Let go of the fears. Walk in the truth; live in the truth.

The truth is that you have the God-life in you; you’re an offspring of the Word. Greater is He that’s in you than any sickness that may attempt to fasten itself on you. You’ve overcome diabetes, heart trouble, chest pain, cancer, fibroid, or whatever health challenge it may be! The strength of God is in you now. So you can live and enjoy your life in sound health, prosperity, peace and joy EVERY DAY; that’s what Christmas means. That’s why Jesus came (John 10:10 AMPC). Blessed be His Name forever.

CONFESSION
I’m a success; I live in health, because the life of God is in me; the strength of God is in me. No disease or infirmity can thrive in my body, because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit! I’m living the good life prearranged for me before the foundation of the world. I live in the victory, glory, dominion and righteousness of Christ; it’s Christmas EVERY DAY! Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY:
1 Peter 2:9 AMPC But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THURSDAY 22ND OCTOBER 2020

PST. CHRIS

JESUS IS HIMSELF GOD .

For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to His disciples. But one of them, Thomas, wasn’t there; so he doubted the resurrection of Jesus. Then, Jesus appeared to the disciples on another occasion; this time, Thomas was present, and Jesus engaged him in a dialogue. He said to Thomas, ...Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing” (John 20:27).

Thomas reached out his hand, and felt the holes in the Master’s hands and the hole in His side. Awed at this, Thomas exclaimed, “...My Lord and my God”(John 20:28)! When Thomas addressed Jesus as God, Jesus didn’t say, “No, Thomas, don’t call me God; you’re going too far.” He accepted it because Thomas spoke reality. Jesus is Himself God.

He is the God that spoke to Moses in the burning bush. He is the One that called Abraham out of Haran and said, “Walk before me, and be thou perfect; I am El Shaddai” (Genesis 17:1). He was the One that stood before Joshua and said, “Take your shoes off your feet for where you’re standing is holy” (Exodus 3:5).

Jesus is God in a human body, but the people didn’t know. He is Adonai, the Lord, God! He was the One that said to Moses, “Your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew me as El Shaddai, but I’m Jehovah” (Exodus 6:3). Jehovah is Yahweh. This is why the Jewish people had difficulty accepting Jesus Christ ordinarily, because they’ll have to confess that He’s Adonai, which He is. They understood the implication.

Think about it: that seemingly ordinary man of Galilee was actually God Almighty, walking the streets of Israel! They couldn’t accept it. They condemned Him to death, but He laid down His life as a lamb for their salvation. The Bible says, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own and his own received him not” (John 1:10-11).

The Apostle Paul tells us that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, bodily. When you see Jesus, you wouldn’t need to look out for the Holy Spirit or the Father; He is the complete embodiment of Deity.

PRAYER

Precious Lord Jesus, you’re my Lord and my God! You’re my life, the One I live for and live unto; you’re my everything, and the reason for my existence. I worship you for who you are, and thank you for revealing yourself to me today. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

FRIDAY 9

IT’S ABOUT YOUR DIVINE ORIGIN

Pastor Chris

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29).

The life of Jesus on earth was an unending stream of extraordinary blessings, victories and manifestation of the divine life. He was conscious of His divinity and oneness with the Father and spoke about it unequivocally. In John 8:42, He said, “… for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.” As a result of this connection, He said, “All things that the Father hath are mine...” (John 16:15).

Christ’s purpose in the earth was to bring you into fellowship with the Father. The Bible says our fellowship (oneness) is with the Father and with the Son, Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3). You’re an heir of God and a joint-heir with the resurrected Christ (Romans 8:17). Therefore, everything He owns belongs to you. You can affirm boldly, “All things that the Father hath are mine....” The Kingdom of God is yours.

The Bible says Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Since you have Him, you have all that He owns. Blessed be God! No wonder Paul said, “Therefore let no man glory in men…” (1 Corinthians 3:21). Don’t pride yourself in any human connections. Rather, recognise and celebrate your divine ancestry and all that your union with Christ has bequeathed to you.

CONFESSION
I’m an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ, and I celebrate my divine ancestry and the extraordinary blessings of my oneness with the Lord. In my path are angels, men, women and resources to help me fulfil my purpose for being and live a tremendously victorious life. I walk in the reality of my inheritance in Christ today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Scripture is the final Authority of the believer. Not the Newspapers. Whereas Newspapers to catch up with whats happening around us. Very good.
👉Scripture is like a letter from home. You enjoy reading what your Father is saying concerning you.
👉The Holy Spirit Illuminates the Scriptures for us to get Revelation out of it.
👉Scripture provides the basic framework of our Faith.
👉You must as a believer be convinced about the Accuracy of the Scriptures. Stop Preaching with an aim of correcting whats written. Preach with an aim of interpreting whats written.
👉The devil is not afraid of your Prayers as much as he is of your knowledge of the Scriptures.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
👉When you refer to whats written, you offend the devil and his plans.

*YOU’RE WORTH HEAVEN’S BEST .*

Saturday, October 3rd .
Pastor Chris

_*Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Peter 1:18-19).*_

Your value to God is revealed in the price He paid for your salvation, which is the precious blood of Jesus Christ. It shows how priceless you really are to God.

Never be deceived by voices that tell you you’re not special or those who treat you like you’re nothing. The fact that you’re worth the blood of Jesus Christ says a lot; it defines your true value. This realization should inspire greater boldness and confidence in your spirit. Nothing is too good for you. You’re worth heaven’s best.

Meditate on this truth! Think, talk and live as God’s treasure of inestimable value. The Bible says He rejoices over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). That’s because you’re His glory and His righteousness. See yourself the way He sees you, and your faith will be more effective. Hallelujah!
