The core values of Maranatha Church are and shall be to:-
a) Uphold FAITH in Jesus Christ as our founder. d) Encourage COMMITMENT among all members. e) Regard HONESTY in the stewardship of God's creation. f) Advocate HUMILITY as the mark of service. g) Acknowledge the SANCTITY of Human Life. TENETS OF FAITH
Are as follows,
1. We believe in God the creator of heaven and earth and al
l therein; Gen 1:1-2, Ex 20:11, 1Sam 2:8, 2Kings 19:6, 1Chron 16:26, Neh 9:6, Job 9:8-9, Ps 8:3, Ps 19-1, Ps 24:1, Acts 17:24-26, Rom 11:36, Rev 4:11, Rev 14:7.
2. We believe in the God head consisting of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Three in one and one in three. 2Cor 13:14.
3. We believe in the deity Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. 1Tim 3:16.
4. We believe in the Bible as the inspired, infallible and authoritative word of God. 2Pet 1:21.
5. We believe in the evangelistic and missionary enterprise. Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15-18.
6. We believe that man is created in the image of God, fell from the glory of God through sin and therefore needs salvation. Gen 1:26, Rom 3:23, Rom 5:12.
7. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit manifestation,gifts ministries and fruits of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:16, 1Cor 12:8-11, Gal 5:22-23.
8. We believe in the security and protection of God for every believer who shall maintain a holy work in the spirit. Jude 2, Rom 8:4.
9. We believe in divine healing which is obtained on the basis of the atonement. Ps 103:3, James 5:14-16, 1Pet 2:24.
10. We believe in the bodily return of our savior and our Lord Jesus Christ in great power and glory at the close of the present age. Dan 7:14, Acts 1:11, 1Thess 4:13-18,
11. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal punishment. John 5:28-29, 1Cor 15:51-55, Rev 20:1 2
12. We believe in water baptism by immersion of a believer upon repentance. Math 28:19, Mk16:16, Acts 2:38;41, Acts 28:12, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:48, 16:33, 18:8, 19:5, 22:16, Rom 6:3, Gal 3:27, Col 2:12, 1Pet 3:21.
13. We believe in the sanctity of marriage and biblical teaching on monogamy (one man:one wife, one woman:one husband) is the ideal for of marriage.Gen 2:24, Math 5:32, Mk 10:7-9, Rom 7:2, 1Cor 7:10-11, 1Tim 3:12, Heb 13:4.
14. We believe in the dedication of infants by the laying of hands. 1Sam 1;24-28, Mk 10:13-16.
15. We believe in the fellowship of the Lord's supper. Math 26:26, Mk 14:22, Lk 22:19-20,1Cor 10:16, 1Cor 11:23.
16. We believe in God as the supreme power and the authority over the heavens and the earth and that He has delegated power and authority , through our Lord Jesus Christ to believer who can now claim victory over Satan and his demonic forces of darkness. Lk 10:19, Mk 6:7, Mk 16 and 17.
