2 Kings 6:1-7 - The sons of the prophets said to Elisha, Look now, the place where we live before you is too small for us. Let us go to the Jordan, and each man get there a [house] beam; and let us make us a place there where we may dwell. And he answered, Go. One said, Be pleased to go with your servants. He answered, I will go. So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. But as one was felling his beam, the axhead fell into the water; and he cried, Alas, my master, for it was borrowed! The man of God said, Where did it fall? When shown the place, Elisha cut off a stick and threw it in there, and the iron floated. He said, Pick it up. And he put out his hand and took it.

The axe head was lost, because it fell into the water, it’s made of iron and sank into the water. But what I love about the scripture text is this, though the axhead sank into the water. It was lost, it was good as gone. But Elisha said paraphrased where was it lost and was willing to find something that seemed to be unrealistic to find.

I said all of that, to say this. Someone has lost their axhead, their cutting edge, it’s time to restore your cutting edge. Liken to this scripture passage, the cutting edge is needed to build, expand. If we’re truthful one time or another we’ve lost our axe head, our cutting edge. But it’s time to recover what we’ve lost. It’s to build again, that vision, that ministry, that marriage, that book, that business, etc.

The moral of the story is: It’s time to get your cutting edge back Selah! 😇🙏🏾
