CHRISTIAN EDUCATION WEEK 2026 (2ND-8TH MARCH 2026)

Christian Education is a key department of PCEA, dedicated to equipping learners to become more like Christ by nurturing their spiritual growth, character, and sense of purpose. Its vision is to build a society of children and adults who are God-fearing and who uphold Christian values such as love, moral integrity, self-control, and respect.

Key Projects and Initiatives in the recent past:
1. PCEA Sirai School – Rumuruti
PCEA Sirai School was established in 2014 to support learners from the nearby pastoralist community. The primary section began in 2016 and has since grown to include a Junior Secondary School. A fundraiser is scheduled for 30th May 2026 at the school in collaboration with the Presbyterian Schools & Principals Association (PreSPA). The department invites all committees and well-wishers to support this important cause.

2. Tour De Kirk
This is a cycling brand created under the Department’s Sports Ministry resolution. The annual cycling event was established in 2019 as a way of teaching Christian values through sports.

3. Revive & Restore Tour of PCEA Schools

4. Joint Institutional Fellowships (JIFs)

5. Presbyterian Teachers Fellowship (PTF)

6. Continuous Mentorship Programmes
Recognizing the critical transitions in learners’ academic journeys, CE emphasizes intentional mentorship. Churches are encouraged to organize regular mentorship among different learning levels.

7. Presbyterian Schools Associations and Forums
The PCEA Christian Education continues to strengthen networks among Presbyterian institutions through various forums, including:
a) Presbyterian Schools & Principals Association (PreSPA)
b) Presbyterian Deputy Principals Fellowship
c) Christian Union Teachers Fellowship
d) PreSHA (Presbyterian Schools & Heads Association) & PrePSA (Presbyterian Private Schools Association)

8. Presbyterian Schools Service Book & Age Based Bible Study Materials: The department has the resources for use by our schools as well as congregations for Bible Studies.

Role Overview:

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and a relevant Master’s degree
• CPA K and membership with ICPAK, IIA or ISACA
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in healthcare
• Strong expertise in risk-based auditing, IFRS, GIAS, and governance systems
