築山のサルスベリが、美しい花を咲かせています。
今年の夏は雨がほとんど降らず、連日の酷暑。水やりも追いつかず、畑の作物は枯れ、地上に出てきたミミズが干からびてしまうほどの厳しい暑さが続いています。
そんな厳しい暑さの中で、ハスの花とサルスベリは鮮やかな花を咲かせ続けています。
他の植物が暑さに耐えきれず力尽きていく過酷な環境の中で元気に咲く姿には、生命のたくましさを感じます。
厳しい夏だからこそ、ひときわ美しく見えます。
The crape myrtle in the temple garden is blooming beautifully.
We have had very little rain this summer, with scorching temperatures day after day. Despite our efforts to water the plants, the crops in the fields have withered, and even earthworms that came up to the surface have dried up in the relentless heat.
Yet, even under these harsh conditions, the lotus flowers and crape myrtle continue to bloom in vivid colors.
Seeing them flourish while so many other plants are struggling to survive makes me feel the incredible resilience and strength of life.
Perhaps it is precisely because this summer has been so harsh that their flowers appear all the more beautiful.
