✨ Have you ever wondered…
“Why do I see God this way?” ✨

For some, God feels close and comforting.
For others, He may seem distant, silent, strict, or difficult to understand.
Many times, our experiences in life quietly shape the image of God we carry in our hearts.

This June, ICYA invites you to a meaningful afternoon of reflection, sharing, and faith formation as we explore:

🤍 What shaped your image of God?
🤍 How did your experiences influence your faith?
🤍 And how can we rediscover the loving face of Jesus today?

Whether you are strong in faith, searching for meaning, healing from past wounds, or simply curious — this space is for you. You do not need to have everything figured out. Just come as you are. 🌿

On May 17, ICYA journeyed together on pilgrimage to Catholic Nigawa Church on Ascension Sunday, in the spirit of the Franciscan Jubilee Year. ✨

The day became a beautiful reminder that pilgrimage is not simply about reaching a destination—it is about journeying together.

From traveling side by side, joining the local community in prayer, celebrating the Eucharist, and experiencing the warm welcome of the parish, we were reminded once again that the Church truly becomes home wherever Christ gathers His people.

After Mass, we prayed the Prayer of St. Francis together, asking for the grace to become instruments of peace and hope in our own daily lives. The journey continued beyond the church walls through simple moments of fellowship, conversations, shared meals, laughter, and time spent together.

In a world where many people journey alone, we are grateful for communities that remind us: faith is never meant to be lived alone.

As pilgrims of hope, may we continue walking together—one prayer, one friendship, and one step of faith at a time. 🙏

Here’s the Day 2 recap of the ICYA Retreat on Good Shepherd Sunday! 🌿❤️

We continued with Session 2: Heart to Heart with Jesus and Mary, and entered into Session 3: Heart to Heart with Our Neighbor. Throughout the day, we were invited to reflect more deeply on the condition of our hearts and how God lovingly meets us there.

One of the most moving moments of the retreat was when each participant received a blank heart and was invited to draw or express the image of their own heart. During the Mass, we offered these hearts to the Lord.

As we looked at the different drawings, we saw how unique every journey is—some hearts were ablaze with hope and love, some were wounded and seeking healing, others were overflowing with gratitude, peace, or longing. Yet in all these different images, we were reminded of one beautiful truth: Jesus, the Good Shepherd, lovingly receives each heart as it is. 🕊️

Thank you to everyone who journeyed with us in prayer, sharing, laughter, silence, and grace throughout these two days. May we continue to remain in His love and become hearts that reflect His compassion to others. ✨

Day 1 Recap | ICYA Retreat 2026 💛
Feast of St. Mark

We journeyed heart-to-heart with Adam and Eve, reflecting on the drama of the human heart and the beauty of the body and soul as one—where even our struggles become places of encounter with God.

Day 1 unfolded with grace: Adoration, Rosary Walk, Vespers, deep sharing, and a joyful bonfire night of songs and prayer. Step by step, we brought our hearts to Jesus, the Good Shepherd—our wounds, our tendencies, our longing to be loved—and allowed Him to meet us there.

30 young people from different countries, yet one family in Christ. 💛

On Divine Mercy Sunday marks the 3rd anniversary of ICYA, Auxiliary Bishop Paul Toshihiro Sakai of the Archdiocese of Osaka-Takamatsu blessed and commissioned the leaders who will serve ICYA for 2026–2027.

Those who will serve as ICYA councilors were: Sami Hirata, Erika Ikegami, Stanislaus Lasrado, and Febin Francis.

The ICYA core support leaders were: Pham Quỳnh Trâm, Don Saldajeno, Betina Dominguez, and Hans Jarett Ong.

We thank God for this beautiful moment of grace, prayer, and encouragement.

As they say yes to serving, may the Holy Spirit fill them with wisdom, humility, joy, and a heart for mission.

May ICYA continue to become a true home where young people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and walk together in hope.

Please keep them and the whole ICYA community in your prayers.
