One man… stood between danger and the Prophet ﷺ.

During the Battle of Uhud, when chaos spread and the المسلمين were momentarily scattered, Talha ibn Ubayd Allah (RA) did something extraordinary.

He didn’t run.
He didn’t hesitate.

He stood in front of the Prophet ﷺ…
using his own body as a shield.

Arrows struck him.
Swords wounded him.
More than 70 injuries covered his body.

And when a strike came toward the Prophet ﷺ…
Talha raised his hand to block it —
leaving it permanently disabled.

This is what loyalty looks like.
This is what love for the Prophet ﷺ looks like.

The Prophet ﷺ praised him…
and Talha (RA) became one of the Ashra Mubashra — those promised Jannah.

A man who gave his body…
to protect the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

May Allah grant us even a fraction of such sincerity and courage. Ameen 🤍

The Ruyat Hilal Committee Japan kindly requests all Masjids, Musallahs, and Muslim organizations across Japan to participate in the sighting of the new moon (Hilal) for Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH.

📅 Date: Thursday, 29 Ramadan 1447 AH
📍 (19 March 2026)

🔭 Observation Time:
The Hilal may be visible in the western sky
⏱ From about 5 minutes before sunset until 15 minutes after sunset

✨ Why it matters:
Observing the new moon is a Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and an important responsibility of the Ummah to confirm the Islamic calendar.

👥 Guidelines:
• Preferably observed with the naked eye
• Telescopes can assist
• At least two trustworthy adult Muslim witnesses
• CCD/digital-only results are not considered valid

As the blessed month of Ramadan is coming to an end, it is important for all of us to fulfill one of its essential obligations: Zakat al-Fitr.

Amount of Zakat al-Fitr:
The recommended amount in Japan is ¥2,000 per person, including every member of the household and dependents (children included).

🗓 Deadline for Zakat al-Fitr:
Zakat al-Fitr must be given before the Eid prayer so that it can reach those in need in time for the Eid celebration.

Payment Options:
You may send your Zakat al-Fitr to the Okinawa Masjid bank account, or place it in the donation boxes available at the Masjid for your convenience.

Let us make sure we fulfill this important obligation and help bring happiness to those in need this Eid.
