Please keep the Earthquake recovery here in prayer. We tended to many people, helped shelter evacuees, cleaned up broken materials caused by the quakes. 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing".
We found that the new tsunami breaks made into the ocean work very well. Much better results than past 3/11 Earthquake of the past.
The breaks dispersed the one story tall waves and forced them to collide with each other before hitting shore.
Tsunami waves move 3 to 6 times faster than normal waves so their impact goes further. Tsunami waves are really not surf-able when big.
NHK News said a road gave out and sucked an elderly man and his car into it. The elderly man escaped by himself but went to the hospital with a back injury.
Also Misawa Route 10 ramp going to the smaller bridge over train tracks by the gas station side of the train station is now off shaped- they are taken pictures of it since the curb is noticeably up into the air...I just drove on it so stable to drive on the ramp & smaller bridge itself.
Car accident looking damage on the big bridge itself where Route 30 turns into Route 22 between the two tunnels going over the train tracks. Saw flipped up curb seemingly hit.
Many people fled toward Aomori evacuating the Misawa / Oirase region last night- I assume toward relatives. I passed many fleeing when checking on everyone.
NHK news showed a fire last night of a building and how it also consumed a car outside of it.
Sky Plaza is closed- I assume many locations are trying to clean up broken items and messes so will have delayed openings or simply not open today.
