I’m back home!! After 36 hours of flights and waiting in airports I’m finally home. I’m glad to be back. It has been a great journey in Japan. The last few days in Japan weren’t super exciting. It was a lot of goodbyes. But I am grateful that I have gotten to meet so many great people. I have made many friends. I have learned a lot while in Japan. And have the deepest respect for the country, its people, and culture.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me! God is doing wonderful things in Japan. I am so grateful to have been able to see that and contribute a small bit.
Who knows what the future holds for me next. All I know is God will make my next step known. 🙏🏼

10 days left in Japan. I am happy to go home but sad to be leaving. A few things have happened since I last gave you guys an update. I had the opportunity to go to an event called Encounter in downtown Tokyo. It was a worship service that was amazing. Many people relatively. And I got to meet a lot of new people. Then we had our Easter service and picnic at Machida. I went out to dinner with one of the friends I made at Encounter. The Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) have bloomed. Which is beautiful. And I went to Kagoshima to visit a few churches. There I taught a bible study, preached, toured the area, and met some amazing people. I am heading back to machida today.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and concerns. 🙏🏼 God is on the move in Japan!

Been fairly busy lately. So it’s about time I give you all an update. I finished up at Yunogo and headed to Wakayama. To see a church there last weekend. Got to see what their ministry looks like. And I got to meet a missionary there as well. Got to see some of the struggles that the church is trying to tackle in Wakayama. Then I flew back to Machida for an art exhibition held at the church for a few days. The artist is a famous Japanese artist who is a Christian. His name is Tomihiro Hoshino. Then I went to Sayama Church this weekend and preached there.

It’s been very busy and fun. Getting to see the all the ministries here in Japan. I’m constantly learning. Thank you for your support and prayers. 🙏🏼

This is a YouTube link to the sermon. It is the same sermon I have been doing. But if you still would like to see here it is.

Been in Yunogo Japan for the past week and a half. It’s a more rural area in the mountains. Have had lots of fun sitting in on and helping different English classes. It is a big way that we spread the gospel here. And are able to tell stories from the Bible. There is a church here that we have services at. But also a Christian center where we teach a lot. I’ll be here till Saturday then I’ll head somewhere else.
It’s pretty cold here though. So, I’ve had to get use to that. I have been told that the place I’m going is much warmer. Also it’s almost Cherry blossom season so everyone is getting ready for that. Having a blast so far. Learning so much. 😁🙏🏼

Delve into some Japanese culture this week. I went to a Japanese bath house. I also participated in a Japanese tea ceremony. Here are some pictures from the ceremony. I couldn’t sit on my feet for long because it hurt. lol. No pictures of the bath house for obvious reasons. 😂

Here’s some photos of last week’s visit to Sannobara Church. Learned this phrase, 神は愛です。It means, God is love. Hope you enjoy. Pronunciation-> ( KA as in car, MI as in me, WA as in water, DE as in deck, and SU as in Subaru). Maybe you’ll get it.😂

Got woken up this morning by an earthquake around 5:45am. Thought I was being shaken awake because I slept through today’s work. But it was a category 5 earthquake in Chiba prefecture. When I got woken up I quickly realized it was an earthquake. Then I made sure nothing was going to fall on me and went back to sleep. ;)

Been up to a lot lately. Hopefully you guys have been able to see the sermon I did this Sunday. But over the past week or so I’ve been up to some other stuff. Me and Tim, the pastor at the Machida church, have been folding and dropping off flyers for an art exhibition at the church come the end of march. I have also helped out with english classes with a range of ages. Attended events at the church and various other places. And also done a little sightseeing. Still trying new foods. But so thankful to God for how the trip is going so far. Thank y’all for your prayers and support. It means more than you know. The first month is almost down. Still have a lot more to do. Praise be to God!🙏🏼

Preached for Sunday service yesterday at the Machida church. It was very different than what I’m use too. Although I think it went pretty well I was definitely more nervous. It’s quite difficult to spread the message when you have to translate because you don’t know the language. But it was a great experience. And I am grateful to God for it.
