ヴィアトール修道会の総会が行われているイタリア・ローマ近郊のアリッチャ。山の上にあるフランシスコ会の施設なんだそうです。湖の向こう側に見えるのがアリッチャの街。頑張って色々お話ししてもらいたいです。

On June 23rd, we, the associates members and their families, had a BBQ party for Fr William, who will be away from Kyoto from July 1st. His favorite food is Korean BBQ, so we had it at a BBQ restaurant which is just in front of Notre-Dame Elementary School and Women’s University, where he often celebrated masses or the students there retreat homilies, and which is run by a Catholic family. How nice familiar faces got together for Fr William. We love him very much and we do hope he will come back to Rakusei and work with us someday…..

6月23日、準会員とその家族が集まって、　ウィリアム神父様の壮行会を行いました。最近のウィリアム神父様の好物は焼肉。よくミサや黙想会に行かれていたノートルダム小学校・大学の正面にあって、カトリックの信者さんが経営されているお店で美味しいお肉をいただきました。よく知った顔をが集まるとなんだか嬉しいです。
壮行会と銘打ったのは、いつかまたウィリアム神父様に戻ってきてもらいたいという私たちの思いからでした。また会う日までお元気でいて欲しいです

On Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, Fr William celebrated the mass for the Christian graduates. As he had to move out from the Kitashirakawa Residence next week, he had been so busy to prepare for it, but he was so willing to celebrate the mass for them.

6月22日土曜日、洛星・聖ヴィアトール大聖堂で、信者卒業生を中心としたウィリアム神父様への感謝のミサが行われました。懐かしいお顔がたくさん集まられ、プチ同窓会のような暖かいミサとなりました。

The Last Mass for the Group of the Parents learning the Bible with Fr William on June 21st, 2024

This mass was originally celebrated to welcome the newcomers to the Group this year, but it was also the last mass of Fr William before his spiritual leave to attend the General Assembly in Rome in July.

Fr William gave a homily expressing his gratitude and encouraging them in their further study of the Bible here at school. He will be sorely missed.

The previous Principal Mr Anami served as an altar attendant, too.

保護者金曜宗教研究の新入会者のためのミサが、洛星聖ヴィアトール大聖堂で6月21日に行われました。折しもこのミサは、しばらくこの地を離れられるウィリアム神父様の最後のミサとなりました。神父様は保護者の方々に対する感謝の気持ちと、これからも宗教研究を続けて行かれるにおいての激励を勧めの言葉の中で言われていました。

前校長の阿南先生も侍者として参加されました。
