Rebecca Mutenda, a 12th grade high school student at Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ), in Tokyo, has launched a fundraising drive, TapWater4TwoWeeks, to raise money to build a borehole for a rural hospital for kids with muscular dystrophy in Zimbabwe. Please see attached the details of the fundraising project and consider donating.

KBF東北支援チーム（KTRT）委員会より、ご支援いただいた皆様へ、

みなさまご存知のとおり、ネパールが4月、巨大地震に襲われました。私たちのボランティア活動に参加くださった中にも、ネパールの方が数名おられます。KBF東北支援チームは、ボランティア団体として、これまで東北支援活動のために寄付金をいただいてきました。目的を絞った募金でしたが、皆様のおかげをもちまして、常に予想を上回る寄付金を頂いてきました。結果、私たちの口座には1,382,258円が残されています。KTRTの設立委員で話し合った結果、私たちはこの残高のうち、半分をネパールの教会に寄付するべきとの結論に至りました。同教会は、以前から私たちと関係のある教会で、既に地域の被災者を支援する活動を行っています。ネパールの教会への寄付金額は、691,129円となります。宗教にとらわれずに被災者のために用いるということ以外には特に使途は限定せず、受け取り側の教会の判断にゆだねる予定です。
私たちは、この寄付の決定について、私たちを支援くださっている皆さんに報告差し上げ、ご懸念の点がないか確認させていただくべきと考えました。ネパールでの活動の進捗については、フェイスブックでも随時報告させていただく予定です。

なお、残りの半分については、東北の団体や個人への支援のために使う予定です。近いうちに東北での支援活動も検討しておりますので、詳細決定次第お知らせします。

ネパールのニーズは多くの支援を必要としています。寄付金の送り先について思案しておられる方がいらっしゃいましたら、こちらから提案差し上げることもできますので、どうぞ私たちまでご連絡ください。
またこの機会をもちまして、私たちは、KBF東北支援チーム（KTRT）から、KBFグローバル支援チーム（KGRT）へと名称を変更することをお知らせします。世界中どこでも、必要とされている支援を届けることを目指しての改名です。このような活動には設立メンバーの誰も経験がなく、私たちにとっても大きな挑戦です。けれども、私たちは信仰に固く基づき、私たちの主イエス様が言われたとおり、隣人への愛を示すのに、距離が妨げにはならないと考えます。皆様に参加いただけるプログラムについては、フェイスブックで随時周知していきますので、今後とも皆様のご支援をお願い申し上げます。

To all our valued supporters,

As many of you heard, the country of Nepal from which some of our volunteers suffered a huge earthquake late April. The KBF Tohoku Relief Team(KTRT) is planning to donate money to victims of this earthquake. As an volunteer organization, KTRT has raised money for relief work in Tohoku. The funds were raised for specific projects but because of your great generosity, we always raised more than we expected. As result our account still has a balance of
1,382,258yen. After discussions in the organizing committee, we agreed that we should donate half this balance to a local church organization in Nepal that we have a relationship with and that is already working to help people affected by the terrible earthquake in Nepal. We are not setting any specific conditions on how the donation can be used except that it be used to help all impacted people regardless of religion, as per the needs identified by the organization we are donating the money to. We thought it good to send this announcement to all our valued supporters to see whether there are any concerns with this donation. We will be posting updates on Facebook as to the progress of the work in Nepal for your reference. Please note that the other half of the fund balance will be used to support organizations and individuals in Tohoku. We are also planning to conduct some relief trips to Tohoku in the coming months and will announce these in due course.

The needs in Nepal are great and if any of you are looking for ways to donate, please do get in touch with us and we will be happy to make suggestions to you.

We are also taking this opportunity to announce that our name will change to KBF Global Relief Team (KGRT). This is to reaffirm ourselves as conducting relief efforts anywhere in the world where we are needed. We have helped a little in the Philipines and Thailand but change we are are making now is a big step for us, as none of the organizers is particularly experienced in this kind of work. But our belief and faith in God is firm that there is no place to far go to show love your neighbor, as our dear Lord Jesus has told us. We request your continued supporting and we will announce on Facebook as we put together programs that you can participate in targeting relief efforts overseas.

For our next Tohoku trip, by the arrangment of our host Mr. Dean Bengtson, a missionary resident in Ishinomaki, we will be given an opportunity to help Virginia LaVallee with the Ishinomaki Gospel Music Festival on Saturday, July 5th at San Juan Bautista Park, Ishinomaki (See the flyer attached).
次回の東北ボランティアは、受入元の石巻在住の宣教師、ディーン・ベンソンさんのアレンジのもと、7月５日のバージニア・ラバリーさんの石巻ゴスペル・ミュージック・フェスティバルのお手伝いをします（添付のチラシご参照）。

チーム57は32人のボランティアで、石巻の市民会館を掃除し、草を取ったり、花を植えたり、ホットドッグと果物、クッキーを良いし、60人の石巻の市民とコンサットを楽しみました。ジェットさんのバンドとKBFの若者とすばらしブラクラゴスペルを通して、神様の愛をみなさまに分かち合い、素晴らしい一日でした。

Team 57 had 32 volunteers including 8 KBF youth. We cleaned up the town hall, planted flowers and prepared hotdogs, fruit, cookies and coffee for about 60 Ishinomaki residents. Dean and his band the KBF youth did a great job ministering in music. What a day. Thank you all and thank you Dean and Linda. We also presented Dean and Linda's ministry with 82,000 yen donated by KBF with Kezia Paul delivering the gift! What a day what a blast, what a blessing!!
