“You can have control or you can have growth, but you can’t have both”This principle from has been so key in this season of growth at .

Being able to give responsibility away and trust those I get to serve with has been soo freeing and also a lot of work. 😅 Giving responsibility away doesn’t mean leaving it to chance. It means coaching, training, and trusting the people with whom I get to serve.

These are just SOME of the MANY dream team members that make it possible for us to do more than any one person can do. Thank you team for serving faithfully week after week! ☺️🙌

This is NOT normal in Japan! But God is doing a new thing—We are having to find ways to make space for more people at because we have to! 🤯 We’re regularly seeing new people come to know Jesus. 🥹 And we’re about to water baptize 6!! Come on somebody!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Across our three Christmas Celebration services, 322 people gathered—the most people EVER to attend ICA Tokyo in one day!

So many experienced Christian community for the very first time, and we even had couple raise their hands to follow Jesus 🙌✨

When friends become family! ☺️

This last week at , we talked about how losing is winning in the Kingdom of God and how what we give up for the Kingdom of God, God always redeems.

Before I became a missionary, I really struggled with the idea of leaving my family and friends in the USA to come to Japan. And then one day, much like was talked about by on Sunday, I read Mark 10:29-30 where Jesus says that everyone who has given up possessions or family for Jesus will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

Jesus spoke to me through this. And I came to Japan because I trusted Him that He would fulfill His promise.

And He has (and will continue to fulfill it into eternity)! Today was such a good representation of that.

Today after Young Professioanls LifeGroup, friends stayed behind and helped me put together a shelf. They didn’t need to but they did. It may have been a small thing to them but it was a big thing to me. 🥹

Last week, they threw a birthday party for me. (The big 3-6 😅) And the list goes on and on.

I’m so thankful for my LifeGroup and my church. They show me time and time again how the love of Jesus is most often demonstrated through His people in church community.

Also, God has given me an amazing girlfriend who was a compete surprise and also exactly what I asked God for and more! ❤️

And then there’s my many friends and coworkers throughout the world that have come to visit and those who consistently text encouragements and pray and give. I’m beyond thankful. And my heart is so full! Thank you friends!
