The Cape Coastal Apostle Area is pleased to announce the upcoming Sunday School Coordinators Conference, taking place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at the beautiful Rustenberg W**e Estate, Stellenbosch.

With the theme “Reflections,” the conference will provide an opportunity for our Sunday School Coordinators to pause, reflect on their journey, share experiences, learn from one another, and look ahead with renewed purpose and enthusiasm. 🙏🏻✨

As we continue nurturing and guiding our children in their faith, may this gathering inspire meaningful conversations, strengthen our commitment to Sunday School ministry, and encourage us to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

The saving effect of the sacraments

On Sunday 6 September, we celebrated our Friendship service, where members invited friends and family to Sunday Divine Service.

Our divine service was conducted by our Rector Priest Russel Stubbs, called to serve alongside him was Priest Heinrich La Meyer.

The bible word used for this Divine service was taken out of, 1 John 5:8 - And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

Message
We receive salvation in Christ visibly by receiving the sacraments.

Human beings must believe and acknowledge the idea that the Son of God was sent to humankind as Redeemer.

■ The divine Sonship of Jesus Christ is acknowledged by God the Father.
■ The Spirit, the water, and the blood point to the saving effect of the
sacraments administered in the church of
Christ.
■ The sacraments are necessary for obtaining salvation in its fulness.

What a blessed way to end our Friendship Weekend.

Arriving back safely at church after a brisk and fun walk

SAN REMO CONGREGATION FRIENDSHIP WALK

Despite the windy weather, our San Remo family gathered at church for a wonderful Friendship Walk!

Our Rector, Priest Russel Stubbs, welcomed everyone and opened the morning with prayer before we took to the road.

After a brisk and refreshing walk, we returned to church for a time of fellowship, laughter and fun!

The games, led by Sister Ruiters, focused on friendship, encouragement and building one another up. There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and, most importantly, beautiful moments shared together.

The Rector thanked everyone who participated and contributed to making the morning so special. He closed the day in prayer and wished everyone a blessed preparation for tomorrow’s Friendship Service.

What a blessed, joyful and fun-filled morning it was!

Friendship grows when we walk together, laugh together and encourage one another
