The Fable of Porcupine (worth reading)

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold.

The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm.
This way they covered &
protected themselves;
but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions.

After a while, they decided to distance themselves one from the other & they began to die, alone & frozen.

So they had to make a choice..

Either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together.

They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the warmth & heat that came from the others. This way they were able to survive.

The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual
learns to live with the imperfections of others & can admire the other person's good qualities.

Better to be surrounded by warm pricks than be frozen in solitude!

TITHING

READ: Malachi 3:7-12

And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD.

Leviticus 27:30

I am sorry to say that most Christians are controlled by their money. Only a small percentage of Christians pay their tithes.

One thing that every Christian must realize is that the tithe is the Lord's money. In our church we call it the first and best fruits. What does this mean? It means that ten per cent of all you earn is not yours, it is actually the Lord's money.

When you give that money, you have done nothing special or unusual. All you have done is to give back to God what is His!

When you understand that the tithe is the Lord's money, it is easier for you to release it to the Lord. In the book of Malachi, the Bible teaches us that when you pay your tithes, the windows of heaven are opened over your life. There must be some great benefit for us when they are opened. Blessings are released into our lives.

When you pay your tithes you are showing God respect and are giving Him honour. One way God receives honour from you is through your tithes. When you do not pay your tithes, you are depriving God of His respect.

Jacob tithed. That is what invoked divine provision over his life. Be ye followers of people who experienced God's blessing and do what they did. You will be blessed as you pay your first and best fruits.
