Last day in Venice was filled with museums and a romantic gondola ride. Couldn’t have asked for a better travel companion than . Time to get back to our friends and family in the USA!

Yesterday we walked. A lot. Also went to the Da Vinci museum, then the Friars Minor Covenant. Lunch was amazing at the Chat qui Rit and of course lots of window shopping.

Well, my first skiing trip didn’t go as great as I had hoped. A week later and I’ve got a 10in plate and 10 screws holding me back together. It’s really easy to let yourself feel depressed in situations like this, but it’s a wonderful opportunity to take a look at life in a different way. I have been overwhelmed with the support, care, and well wishes from my friends and family. These people are my family as well and I have never been more grateful to have all of you in my life. Miss you all and I’m going to work as hard as I can to get back as soon as possible. Love you all, stay positive and stay safe.
