ECHIC European Consortium of Humanities Institutes and Centres The European Consortium for Humanities Institutes and Centres was founded in 2011.

It provides a platform for research in the Humanities and speaks up on behalf of its members with funding and policy-making bodies. ECHIC promotes networking activities, fosters collaborative projects and organises an annual humanities conference at a member institution.

The European Alliance of Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) is an association comprised of all actors in the social science and humanities community. EASSH was founded less than a year ago and at present 28 of the most prestigious European disciplinary associations have joined.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) and ECHIC are glad to invite you to inside/OUT, a European Conference for the Humanities, which will take place in Edinburgh from the 5 to the 7 April 2017.
The conference aims to probe some of the most pressing issues facing the humanities as academic disciplines and interdisciplinary fields. It will comprise plenary presentations, panel paper sessions, lightning talks and roundtable reflections as well as opportunities for networking.
