St.George Orthodox Syrian Church Vijayawada

St.George Orthodox Syrian Church Vijayawada Our church has an humble beginning in the year 1979.The first Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev.Fr.K.I.Philip ( Late
Very Rev.Philip Ramban)

All these years we were in the mercy of local sister churches for our services. This has necessitated the urgency of building our own church.Hence by the grace of God Almighty we were able to purchase a piece of land which is barely 3 to 4 kilometers from railway as well as main bus station. On September 1st,2013 the foundation stone was laid by the Diocesan Metropolitan H.G. Dr.Abraham Mar Seraphi

m and started the construction. Being a small parish of ten families,it is an herculean task for us to construct a church.Hence we request all of you to lend a helping hand through your prayers, visits and generous contribution to this noble venture. For delivery of funds, please contact the given phone numbers or at the email id as provided. Your contributions will be acknowledged and you will be remembered in our prayers.

🌸✝️ Happy Easter ✝️🌸
“He is not here; He has risen!” – Luke 24:6
Today we celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord —the victory of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair.
Easter reminds us that no matter how difficult the journey, there is always a new beginning. The empty tomb is a powerful sign that God’s promises are true and His love never fails.
May this blessed day fill your hearts with peace, joy, and renewed faith.
🙏 Wishing you a joyful and blessed Easter!

✝️ Good Friday ✝️
Today we remember the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord on the cross at .
A day of sorrow, yet a powerful reminder of God’s unconditional love and mercy. Through His suffering, we received forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.
“By His wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
Let us reflect in silence, pray with gratitude, and renew our faith.
🙏 Blessed Good Friday

Today we remember the mighty hand of God that delivered His people from bo***ge into freedom. The Feast of Passover is a powerful reminder of faith, obedience, and redemption.
As the blood of the lamb protected the Israelites, we are reminded of God’s saving grace in our lives. May this sacred time renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and lead us into a deeper experience of His love and deliverance.
“Remember this day in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bo***ge…” – Exodus 13:3
🙏 Blessed Passover to all!

Mid-Lent is the 25th day of the 50-day Great Lent, marking the halfway point of the fasting period.

It reminds us that half of the spiritual journey toward Easter is completed.
It encourages people to continue fasting, prayer, repentance, and confession with renewed strength.
