Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, The Only Shrine in Sri Lanka, where Blessed Virgin Mary has made Her appearance, in person, for 23 times, is situated just by the Colombo - Negombo main road. From the past, the place where Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is situated is also known as the 20th Mile Post Junction. The road leading to the Sri Lanka Air Force Camp also starts in front of Our Lady of Katunayake's Shrine. When you travel from Bandaranayake International Airport towards Negombo, the distance from the International Airport to the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake is only 6 kilometers.
