Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti 2024: Rabindranath Tagore is celebrated as a timeless poet, novelist, author, playwright, songwriter and philosopher in West Bengal. The poet is known all over the world for his huge volume of work. Tagore is the first non-European to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature in the year 1913. His works transcend emotions, revolution and devotion. Tagore also established Visva-Bharati University in the town of Santiniketan, tucked inside the district of Birbhum in West Bengal. Rabindranath Tagore is hailed as the Bard of Bengal and is worshipped and honoured for his works in the literary space.

Darpan Visarjan is another important ritual that is observed before the actual immersion of the Murti. Here, the priest symbolically immerses the idol by capturing the reflection in a bowl of water. In this practice, one has to see the reflection of Durga Maa through a bowl of water.

One final ritual that is carried out before immersion of Goddess Durga is the Sindur Khela. It marks the farewell to Maa Durga, end of Durga Puja. Bengali Hindu women participate in the playful ritual of applying vermilion on each other on the last day of Durga Puja. We the BHAKTABRINDA pooja committee hereby invite you all for participate the rituals and take Ma's blessings The ritual will start today 5pm afterward by 7pm we will go for Visrajan to Thane Talao pali.
