Social Status >> Thirty years ago, Parennekkad was very backward in social, economical and educational sector in Tirur Muncipality. They were very poor and they have no time to think about their education, but they always think about how to earn their livings. Besides, there wasn't any other educational institutions than the Madrassa provided for moral studies. It is true that very few pe
ople who have passed SSLC from this area. Jem-Iyyathul Muslimeen >> Seeing such a sad plight of people, some young men belong to “ISLAHI MOVEMENT” met together to discuss the problem and tried to find out a solution. And formed a committee in 1982 named “Jem-Iyyathul Muslimeen”, Parannekad. Kasim Haji and K.Mohamed Unniyettan were elected as the first President and General Secretary for this committee. Later the Committee was registered under “Societies Registration Act of XXI of 1860. First we acquired 10 cent land by the contributions of committee members. Now there are 8 (Eight) acres of land in our possession. Madrassathul Islamiya-Established in 1969, which was built in the Wakf Land contributed by Marhoom Ammengara Saidalavi Haji. Later Which was handed over to JM Committee in 1982 due to financial crisis. Now it runs smoothly with a good result. 2. Kinter Garten School (English Medium), 3. School (Malayalam Medium), 4. High School (Malayalam Medium), 5. School (English Medium), 6. College of Arabic and Islamic Studies. Classes started in the Madrassa building. Then started L.P. School classes without any recognition from Govt. Later, L.P. Section was recognized as aided under Area Intensive Programme for minorities proposed by Central Govt. of India, and other classes are recognized as unaided by state Govt. in 1994-95 with the help of Mr. Mohammed Basheer our MLA and then Minister for Education, Kerala. Moral study is compulsory for Muslim Students from K.G. to 10th std. and also Communicative English headed by a Bangalore based team. Higher Secondary School started in 2000-2001 with Science and Commerce Batches. Arabic College Started in 2007-08 to find a solution for the scarcity of Islamic scholars in Tirur area. The students who study in Arabi College enjoy full fee concession. And Now the strength is 80 students. Campus Mosque >> We are looking for financial help form well wishers for a campus Mosque, still to be fulfilled. Senior College >> We have submitted papers for the approval of a senior College with modern subjects than traditional courses. Conclusion >> By Hand in Hand work of the committee members with a team spirit along with the help of parents and teachers we reached heretofore. We are thankful to all philanthropists who helped us whenever we wanted and expecting further support to put an end to the bad pandemic condition of our society.
