South Shirdi

South Shirdi To cater various needs to the village peoples as per the objects of the trust, we have chosen the place. This is the biggest gurusthan as of now in Tamilnadu.

"South Shirdi" Saibaba temple, consecrated in Akkaraipatti near Samayapuram, Trichy by the devotees of Sri Sai Karpagaviruksha Trust as per Saibaba's mandate that the temple should be built only by his devotees, appearing in the vision of his devotee. Akkaraipatti was earlier known as Agraharapatti, which is in the outskirts of Trichirappalli, Tamilnadu, India, a small village consists of around

200 to 300 families, surrounded by important places of Trichy like Samayapuram, Srirangam, Mannachanallur, etc. . Apart from this we have two more wonders at the place, a rock with a neem tree and Neem tree and alm tree grown together. Sthan a Sanskrit word which denotes the place, the guru’s place is known as Gurusthan, baba as and when entered in to shirdi sat on a rock where there was a neem tree to the back side of the rock, which was later became Gurusthan, like that with the blessings of baba fortunately for us we had a rock by having a neem tree in it so we have constructed the Gurusthan initially. Beneath the marble stage there is still a rock at our gurusthan. At present the construction of gurusthan got completed and performing 4 arathi’s every day. Proposed to construct dwarakamayee, prasadhalayaa and a main mandhir
To cater the longing of touching the baba and the padham, it is allowed to touch baba and his feet at the gurusthan where we have placed a baba with 3.6”feet height. Baba at this gurusthan so far did plenty of wondersBaba’s vigraham was brought to Akkaraipatti on a chariot with two horses from Trichy, it was more than 20 kms distance from the mandhir. We never thought that the distance will be so high and the horses can’t walk freely. As and when we entered the village Akkaraipatti, both the horses stopped moving from a particular place which we came to know that it was the border of the village where there will be a god of the village known as ellai kaval dheivam, we struggled a lot to move from the place, suddenly we were informed by the villagers about the kaval dheivam, so rendered prayers to the temple and applied udhi ( sacred ash) on the forehead of both the horses, as and when we applied udhi both the horses started with a josh and entered the mandhir with recharged energy. Before the arrival of baba’s vigraham, and when the construction was going on baba blessed us with 9 ten rupee notes which was showering from the neem tree. Later we realised that baba has blessed all the trustees since the trustees count was also 9.
