Abdullah ibn Al-Mubarak said:

"Whoever mocks a scholar has truly lost his religion. And whoever mocks a student of knowledge has truly mocked knowledge (itself). And whoever mocks knowledge has truly mocked Allah."

قال عبد الله بن المبارك رحمه الله:

“من استخفّ بالعالِم فقد ذهب دينه، ومن استخفّ بطالب العلم فقد استخفّ بالعلم، ومن استخفّ بالعلم فقد استخفّ بالله.”

عبداللہ بن المبارک رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا:

"جس نے کسی عالم کی توہین کی، اس کا دین برباد ہو گیا۔
جس نے طالبِ علم کی توہین کی، اس نے علم کی توہین کی۔
اور جس نے علم کی توہین کی، اس نے درحقیقت اللہ کی توہین کی۔"

*Showing Respect To One's Father in Islām*

Imam al-Bukhari )رحمه الله( relates that Abū Hurayrah )رضي الله عنه( saw two men and said to one of them, "How is this one related to you?" He replied, "He is my father". So he (Abū Hurayrah) said, "Do not call him by his name (out of respect), do not walk ahead of him and do not sit before him."

It is not permissible for a Muslim to delay his prayers beyond the time when they are due without a legitimate excuse. Legitimate excuses which allow a Muslim to delay his prayers until the time for them is over include sleeping and forgetting. Doing worldly work is not an excuse for not praying or for delaying a prayer until its time is over. Rather one of the characteristics of the sincere believers is that they do not let business or trade distract them from remembering Allah and establishing regular prayer.

Imaam Ahmad said that the one who does not pray because of laziness is a kaafir. This is the more correct view and is that indicated by the evidence of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, and by the words of the Salaf and the proper understanding.

(Al-Sharh al-Mumti’ ‘ala Zaad al-Mustanqi’, 2/26).

Anyone who examines the texts of the Quran and Sunnah will see that they indicate that the one who neglects the prayer is guilty of Kufr Akbar (major kufr) which puts him beyond the pale of Islam.
