Fr Sylvester D'Souza had started monthly Sunday Masses in the St. Joseph Higher Primary School, Pilar in 1987. Valerian Pinto increased the service to fortnightly and gradually weekly. Since 2007 the service of the Pilar Chapel was entrusted to the Salesian Fathers of Don Bosco Youth Centre. Ever since, they have been giving commendable service to the chapel with Sunday Masses, Catechism and the l

ike of the five wards assigned to the Chapel : Jalamel, Khadpahutal, Pilar Upper, Pilar Lower and Majalbet.

"ಸೊಮ್ಯಾ ಸಂಗಿಂ - ಆತ್ಮೀಕ್ ಸಾಂಜ್"

The Lenten prayer service organized by Youth SSVP along with Pilar Youth at Infant Jesus Church Pilar witnessed scores of devotees enriching their lives towards God.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues and Fr.Kiran Nazareth from the Salesians of Don Bosco , led us in the praise and worship, word of God, Healing and Adoration. He reflected on the need for prayer in our life which is the only weapon to fight against evil and diseases. The healing service led by the Fr. Joseph helped many to experience the love of God in their hearts which filled them with joy.

Youth SSVP and Pilar Youth successfully organized the Bible Quiz 2024, "RUACH – The Breath of Life, the Spirit of God," a dynamic and engaging event designed to deepen biblical knowledge and spiritual growth among children.

The quiz was open to students from 1st to 10th standard, including members of YCS, ensuring a diverse and enthusiastic participation.

The program commenced with a heartfelt prayer and an inauguration ceremony that set the tone for a meaningful and enriching experience. The event witnessed excellent coordination, enthusiastic participation, and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a resounding success.

The efforts of the organizers, volunteers, and participants contributed to the smooth ex*****on of the event, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. Such initiatives not only foster a love for the Scriptures but also encourage teamwork, learning, and spiritual enrichment among the youth.
