But now a day it became history. This dargah Sharif has having its own significant, because of freedom movement was started from here in the year 1842 in the leadership of then Mogul emperor Bahadurshah Jafar the last king of mogul. Thus, this place has significant importance because one of the first its kind of conference was held here with blessing of hazrat Jalalshapir. This too becomes now history. This king developed the Rajkot many public welfare project was carried out and completed during this tenure, such as Ajidam, Aji River was named after him. In the olden days this was the transit center people who wanted go to various destinations, were taken shelter here and after taking the blessing of Jalalshapir procced further. During the older time, various king royal people were providing eatable article for the people who visit this dargah.this system was into existence up to 1947. During that period the Jalalshapir dargah was transit centre. The tram used to halt here at least for 30 Minutes daily , but now a days the tram track had been vanished, and the porbandar and Ahmedabad highways has been constructed on the same track thus the importance of the dargah Sharif is same and having same historical importance people belong to all walks of life, and all cast and creed are visiting this place with full respect.
