WINNING THE PRIZE IN A RACE
1Corinthians 9:24-26
“Know you not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain (1Corinthians 9:24).” In games whether its basketball, football, volleyball, athletics or whatever), one is often confronted with the opportunity to turn or to break the rules. The player or the runner must discipline himself to workouts self-control in all things to win the race. In the case of players / runners in a race is to win the prize and to take the gold medal, but all of these are corruptible, perishable, they are time-based and will not last, however in a Christian’s race the prize is the crown of life which is incorruptible, indestructible and enduring (2 timothy 2:1-5). We should not run the race at half-speed, but full ahead until we cross the finish line.
Winning the prize takes assurance and motivation that comes through continued self-control
To finish the race and to obtain the reward:
An individually must discipline himself.
An individually must be temperate.
He or she must be determined
An individually must be confident
A person must be self-control
An individually must be obedient and follow the rule
An individually must takes focus
NO ONE OBTAINS A PRIZE AS A CHAMPION EXCEPT HE WINS LEGALLY AND LAWFULLY.

A. What Prize Do We Set Out To Win in The Christian Faith?
The Christian calling is a holy calling into a race that has an imperishable and eternal prize at the end. The ultimate goal of every followers of Jesus is to enter into the kingdom of God. As a Christian’s to win the reward an individuals should train himself according to the rule and do services for the almighty God such as paying tithe, giving offerings, winning soul, daily studying the Word of God, daily praying, worshipping and going fellowship.
“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
To enter into the kingdom of heaven and to sit with Jesus in His throne one must live a victorious life in this world as Jesus did.

It is the will of Father to give us the promised land and no one can steal the kingdom of God from us except an individually itself (Luke 12:32).

*THE MANY VOICES THAT SPEAK IN FAVOUR OF THE WATCHMAN*
Before this message is expanciated, it is important to have a knowledge of the happenings of these times in order to identify the things that have gone wrong and to have the knowledge of the many things that are speaking in favour of God, Man and the Watchman.
*√ These days are the very last days of the church age.*
*√ These are times of seared consciences (1Timothy 4:1-2)*
The hearts of the people in church have been spiritually seared by strange doctrines of the devil, doing things that are abominable and yet means nothing to them.
Some of them are possessed with religious spirits not being violent as those possessed with violent spirit but calm, speaking eloquently, making unending arguments of the scriptures, and unleashing devilish wisdom and doctrine that is of the devil.
Men and women have been hitherto enslaved with this doctrines not knowing what is right and wrong.
*How To Discern Between Right And Wrong :* 1Timothy 6:1-5
Any doctrine or teaching that is not in consonance with the mapped out teachings or doctrines of our Lord Jesus and those teaching otherwise, *from such we are to turn away.*
The Watchman should not link themselves up with the people called *poor souls* (Jer. 5:1-4) who are ignorant of the doctrine of Christ and who teach contrariwise.
*√ These are days of anointing through sin*
*√ These are the days of Apostasy (2Timothy 3:1-5)*
*√ These are the days of mass backsliding*
In the midst of mass backsliding, the Watchmen should have their hearts steady and not be swerved because it is enough that they be like their father (Pastor A. C. Ohanebo).
*√ These are times of iniquity abounding and the love of many towards the Lord and his service waxing cold*
*√ These are the days of false teachers that have abounded being like ravening wolves in the house of God*
"It is my responsibility to keep my children away from these false teachers by equipping them with the truth" (pastor A. C. Ohanebo)
*√ These are the days when the depraved (totally or partially) are become leaders deceiving the people*
*√ These are the days of false salvational experiences and baptism*
Amidst all these, the Heaven and the Earth, the sun, moon, stars, birds, fishes, animals and all the creatures of God living and non-living do speak volumes in favour of God (Psalm 19:1-3).
*THE MANY VOICES THAT SPEAK IN FAVOUR OF PEOPLE:*
*1. BLOOD.*
Cain and Abel offered unto the Lord but Cain offered mechanically having a mechanical Knowledge of God, while God accepted the offering of Abel who offered with his whole heart unto God.
THE blood of Abel spoke from the ground on his behalf inclusive of his good sacrifice by the time he was slain (Genesis 4:3-10).
The blood of the animals used in time past for the sins of the people spoke in the favor of the people. (Heb. 12:24)
The blood of Jesus which was shed on the cross of Calvary speaks in favour of the people now and eternity.

*2. TALENT SPEAKS.*
*3. GIFT SPEAKS.*(Proverbs 18:16)
*a. Worthy Gift speaks.
*b. Sacrificial Gift speaks
*4.HUMILTY SPEAKS.*(1kings 21:22-29)
*5. PIETY SPEAKS.*(Acts 10:1-4 being a philanthropist)
*6. MEAKNESS SPEAKS.(Numbers 12:1-15)*
*7. RIGHTEOUSNESS SPEAKS.*
*8. SACRIFICE SPEAKS.*(Genesis 22:1-18).
Knowing therefore that there are voices which speak in favour of someone, Watchman is not then a place to toil because there are many things speaking in favour of the ministry.
*Watchman is a PRICK and it is difficult to kick against the pricks and go free (Acts 8:5).*
*Any individual speaking against the ministry is endangering his own soul.*
Broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many that walk in it but Narrow is the path that leads to life eternal and there are few that find it.
*Decide today to be among the few who are JEALOUS for the Lord.*

WEDNESDAY CHARISMATIC HOUR (06/12/2017)
SURE DEFENSE AND LIFTING UP FOR THE FAITHFUL
TEXT: DANIEL 3:1-13, Psalm. 15:1-4
In the Bible, we can observe that our God is faithful and His Word is true. Truthfully, account of covenants between God and His people can be found many times in the Holy Scripture. He is faithful to His promises and to all who genuinely serve Him, God is really faithfully God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments, and He is faithful especially those who hazard their valued treasures or precious things for His service (Psalm 15:1-4).
POINTS TO CONSIDER.
(1) The faithful identified.
(2) The sure divine response to the faithful.
Point 1: The Faithful Identified (Dan. 3:14-20)
The faithful in our perspective are those who have expressed or rest saving faith in God through the person and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and also live their lives according to His teachings and principles. The faithful are those who have sure faith on Christ and lives according to the Words of God. Daniel was identified through his faithful life of fasting and praying. Even when he had lots of work, his work never hindered him. In the case of Daniel, when others are enjoying Daniel is Praying three times a day (Daniel 6:3-15) and for us to please God, it’s a time to pray a Daniel prayer. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego are the perfect Israelites, who obey God’s law and have faith even when it is life threatening. The confidence of these three comes not from any personal guarantee of deliverance from the furnace, but from their faith and God’s promise. Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold and with the making of this golden image and the dedication ceremony, Daniel’s and three friends find themselves commanded to worship this idol, or die. God said Worship idols and die, while Nebuchadnezzar said, Worship my idol or die. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were determined to flee from idolatry, even if it meant death; Nebuchadnezzar commanded them to practice idolatry, or they would surely die. The three friends were refusing to bow down to the golden image, and they remained faithful to God and to His law, even when threatened with the fiery furnace. Their hope is in God, their Deliverer. One thing is non-negotiable: they will not bow down to this image. The three understood whom they belong, who is leading them; they understood that is not their earthly kings but the king of kings.
Universal things among the faithful are:
 They given their whole lives to God and His Word (Mathew 4:12).
 Surrendered their all and submit their lives to the lord and his service
 Had the understanding that God owns them and all that they have. Therefore, there is nothing they can withhold from Him - possessions or talents (Gen.22:1-3)
 Nothing they cannot give or give up for the service of the LORD (Phil. 3:7-9).
 unreserved and unquestionable loyalty to God (Dan. 3:16-18)
In the case of Abraham, he was so faithful that he never refused whatsoever the Lord has commanded him to do. (Gen.22) the faithful never give up their faith in serving their god and they give their lives and loyalty to their God. The faith of the faithful speaks for them even at death; people like john the Baptist who was beheaded, Stephen, James etc they gave their lives because they understood that there is a better life after death (Rev. 6:9-10).). Who will hardly take any pains and trouble for Christ, who fears to stand for the LORD in the face of firm opposition, who can easily discard or compromise godly standards for the sake of money? Those who want to get pleasure from the sure defense of the LORD and His lifting up should listen, learn and stand by faith even in a moment of life threatening.
Point 2: The sure divine response to the faithful (Dan. 3:15, Dan. 6:21-28; Acts 27:21-25)
For the faithful there is nothing that the Lord cannot do or give. He has already given the greatest and best gift to the world, what else can be so hard for Him to do or so difficult for Him to give to the faithful. If God is for us, who can ever be against us (Romans 8:31-32). To the faithful the lord says we shouldn’t fear man who is just able to kill the body and not the soul but rather we should fear God who is able to kill the body, soul and spirit (Mathew 10:28-31). The just shall live by faith. We should do everything in faith, for without faith it's impossible to please God but when we live in faith God will satisfy to us.

SUNDAY LIGHT FELLOWSHIP (03-12-17)
THE GIFTS AND CALLING OF GOD ARE WITHOUT REPENTANCE
Romans 11:25-36
Keyword:
"For the Gifts and calling of God are not negotiable, without repentance, irrevocable" Romans 11:29
It is important that an individual gains knowledge so as not to be swerved as touching the calling of God in his life.
Yes! the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, irrevocable because God never withdraws them once they are spoken, he doesn't change his mind towards them.
It is important to have this knowledge because ignorance leads to horrible circumstances (Hosea 4:6).
God's intention is not that anyone be destroyed as a result of lack of knowledge.
An individual can err and get into terrible things as a result of ignorance(Matthew 22:23-29).
We must not be ignorant that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance and are irrevocable.
This message is considered as INDISPENSABLE because of its purpose.
PURPOSE :
This message is programmed to wipe out all misconceptions, negative words, portrayed actions, reactions, and attitudes of the uninformed otherwise called poor souls (Jeremiah 5:1- 4).
REASONS WHY GOD'S GIFTS AND CALLING ARE WITHOUT REPENTANCE:
1. WHAT GOD HAS DETERMINED AS AN OBJECTIVE / GOAL IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.
Nothing can make God give up on his objective or goal.
After that man sinned in the garden of Eden, God set a goal which was to restore man back to his original state of fellowship with him.
The scripture (Genesis 3:14-15) figuratively talked about the seed of the woman (Christ) who will bruise the head of satan who was in the serpent and to undo what satan had done in the garden of Eden, and the Lord followed through this aim until it was achieved/fulfilled.
God looked forward to a nation even Israel whom he will raise up in strength from the loins of Abraham to knock down the deeds of the devil and that aim was achieved having brought Christ the Saviour through the loins of Abraham (Matthew 1:1-16).
God set the objective, not Adam nor Eve.
In the case of the Watchman, God did set the goal of raising up a people unto him who would be a light to lighten the Gentiles.
This goal has been designed and programmed even before the man who God will use to raise up such a people was born, and because it was a goal set by the Lord, he needed to accomplish it, hence the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement today.
2. THE CALLED HAD BEEN WEIGHED THROUGH AND THROUGH AND FOUND QUALIFIED.
There are qualifications for every position.
Abraham was a seeker of God, and passionate.
The Lord called him to leave his native place to an unknown land and he implicitly obeyed the Lord without asking God questions nor did he confer with any man and God took note of it (Genesis 12:1-4).
After that Abraham had been weighed through and through and found qualified, God chose him and called him out of Ur of Chaldees to be the man through whom all nations of the earth will be blessed.
God assessed, judged and weighed Abraham and found him qualified (Genesis 18:16-19).
Noah as well was found passionately loving the Lord and he was mocked by the uninformed but the attitudes of the uninformed did not make God change his program.
In the case of the Watchman, God had assessed the man through which the goal was to be achieved and found him qualified, thereby making it affirmative that the Gifts and Calling of God on the Watchman are irrevocable, and without repentance.
3. THE CALLED WOULD PAY A PREDETERMINED PRICE IN TERMS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SACRIFICES.
There must be a specific sacrifice(s) to pay in order to qualify for a particular task.
Abraham said unto his son Isaac "God will provide for himself a lamb for the sacrifice" but at this point it is necessary to note that Abraham had not known that there was going to be a provision made by the Lord for the burnt offering, that is to say that Abraham wholly sacrificed his son Isaac in his heart and so God counted it to him that he sacrificed his only son to him(Genesis 22:1-8,15-18).
This singular action of Abraham made that which God had elected to do with him (his objective) sure.
Moses sacrificed the pleasures of Egypt, refusing to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, and left all the honor, choosing rather to suffer affliction with God's people.
God saw the incredible passion of Moses for the children of Israel and God elected him to be the instrument through which Israel will be delivered from bo***ge.
All the sacrifices of Moses put together was what God considered and qualified him for the set goal.
Sacrifices have been made in this ministry and God cannot overlook them.
Considering all these men who had made one sacrifice or the other,
Will God forsake Abraham and hold to another?
Will he forsake Joseph whom he found separate from his brethren and chose another?
God honors Sacrifice more than Convenience.
The pioneer of Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement has made great sacrifices which makes the Ministry of the Watchman Intact.
The purpose of the ministry must be executed.
Genuine Ministers of the Gospel are Consular Officers showing us how to get the visa to heaven.
Knowledge of this makes one know that the Gifts and Calling of God are without Repentance.

A CALL TO ACCOMPLISH THE LAW THROUGH LOVE
TEXT: Romans 13:8-14
Love is really essential to Christians, for it should direct our relationships with our God and Peoples. Love is what initiated God's redemption and salvation plan for us. The Bible says, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Because of God's great love for us God sent Jesus into humanity to save mankind from the power of darkness and bring us into fellowship with Him. In the same manner, as believers, we should to love one another, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love" (1 John 4:7-8). Our love for each other shows that belong to the truth because God lives in us and his love is made complete in us (1 John 4:12). Paul explains how love is to govern our relationships, not only with our fellow believers but also with our neighbors and even our enemies (Romans 12:9-21). There is no right love of our neighbor without the love of God, nor no right love of God without the love of our neighbor. Love sums up the Christian’s responsibilities (Romans 13:8-14). Apostle Paul said this love we expand to one another fulfills and summarizes the rest of the law. All of the commandments based on how we treat others. If we love then we will not commit adultery, we will not murder, steal and covet our neighbor’s things. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor consequently Love fulfills the objective of the law because all things can be summarized by love. Paul said in (1 Corinthians 13:3), if I have not love, I am nothing. Love will never do harm to one another, therefore Love meets and fulfills all the requirements of the law. Love is greater than any of the spiritual gifts (Tongues, Prophecy, knowledge, Faith, Hope, and understanding) and is even greater than faith and hope (1 Corinthians 13:13). Love is patient, love is kind, and is not envious; love does not boast and is not arrogant and Love is the distinguishing mark of the true followers of Jesus Christ. We are to watch, wait, and work until Jesus comes and that His time is limited because the day of our Lord Jesus Christ return is drawing nearer and closer each day.
HOW WE SHOULD TREAT PEOPLE WITH LOVE????
Love one another with brotherly affection.
Outdo one another in showing honor.
Be completely humble and gentle.
Be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
Repay no one evil for evil.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves,
If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink (Romans 12:9-21).
Love your enemy and do well to them and then lend to them and not expect to be paid back and that paying back will come at Christ’s return and you will receive a hundredfold for what you give (Mathew 19:29).

THE HEALING OF THE PARALYTIC.
TEXT: - Mathew. 9:1-8
“ONLY JESUS CAN FORGIVE OUR SINS”
IMPORTANT POINTS: -
1. PEOPLE’S FAITH (Mark 2:2-5)
Jesus Christ finds faith in the friends, and He honors their faith (Mark 2:2-5). Because their purpose and determination to bring the palsy before Jesus shows their faith that he would be healed. Their actions are justifying their faith by works and they assist him to make possible his spiritual healing and as well as physical healing. Faith is not shaped and produced through sight (2:5-7). When we are healed spiritually then physically we will absolutely be complete, because the spiritual controls the physical. Manifest your faith in all circumstances and it impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). Because anybody who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Christians should spend their lives glorifying God in everything they do and must not assemble their lives around the things that have no eternal life and loving the things in this world. For us to please God we must have faith and exercise it in our daily works.
IS YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST BRINGING AN EXTRAORDINARY MIRACLE?
2. THE PARALYTIC SIN FORGIVEN (Mark 2:4-5)
While Jesus is teaching in the crowded room, four men bring a paralyzed man to Jesus and they want Jesus to heal their friend. He is extremely impressed by their faith and says to the paralyzed Son, your sins are forgiven. Whatever we get on earth is passing away
 Healing is passing away
 Miracle is passing away.
The bible says (Mathew 16:26) for what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For what is a man profited???
 To gain the whole world
 To possess it as its own
 To have all its riches
 To have all its pleasure and to lose his own soul.
As a follower of Jesus Christ in our daily activities we must not labour for the food which perishes rather we should focus on the spiritual things that endures unto everlasting life.

3. HE, PERCEIVING THE SCRIBES' THOUGHTS (Mathew 9:1-5).
Christ is the Lord God omniscient; everywhere God and there is no creature, living or non-living which are invisible to him, but what is known to him and seen by him; for all creatures are made by him, and he is omnipresent. No human creature is unapparent in his sight, but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do (Hebrews 4:13). (Romans 2:16) As the Son of God is the Mediator of salvation, so also He is the Mediator of judgment. God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ. As a Christian, we have to transparent and we should keep our heart clean for there is no secret before God. (Ecclesiastes 12:14) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

4. THE PARALYTIC HEALED.
Following the paralytic's spiritual being was healed and the scribes corrected, then the Lord was happy to heal the physical circumstances of the man. When we are healthy spiritually then no matter your physical state, you will experience joy and freedom.

After Jesus Christ healed the man, the crowded of people there begin to glorify the God. All the people and scribes marveled at the work of God. Christ is our perfect example also suffered for us; let’s follow his footsteps (1 Peter 2:21).

WHOSOEVER THAT BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED.
TEXT: - MARK. 16:16, JOHN. 3:16 ACTS. 4:12
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus died for the sins of every person who ever lived including you and who will ever walk on the earth. He died for all people in the world without distinction and died for all kinds of people from every tongue, tribe, people, nations, and individuals this shows how much He loves you. If you believe in Him as your Savior, complete forgiveness and salvation in paradise is yours. You don’t receive those gifts by anything you do or don’t do. It’s a free gift, given by grace The Bible says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works so that no one can boast however the process is not unconditional. There is a condition for accepting a salvation first you must confess your sins and then believing in Him that He died for you and you shall be saved.

What Must We Do to Be Saved???
1) BELIEVE! (MARK:16:16)
Apostle Paul says (Romans 10:9) Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." He says, "If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. Therefore, He died for our sins, which means we must believe we are sinners. A person that doesn't believe he is a sinner and can’t be saved. If there is nothing to forgive, Jesus didn't do anything for me. If he didn't do anything for me, I do not believe him for salvation. If I do not believe him for salvation, then I'm not saved. So you must believe that you are a sinner and that He died for your sins in line to save you.

2) BAPTISM (MARK 16:16)
“Baptism is a Greek word derived from Baptizo meaning to immerse or to dip.”
The will of the Father is being baptized for the forgiveness of our sins so that we can be saved and go to heaven. Baptism is a significant representative act. It has a special threefold meaning.
 Washing
 Burial
 Resurrection
Washing: Baptism cleanses us from our sins and gives us a bright and new start with God. Both the blood of Christ and the waters of baptism wash away our sins (Revelation 1:5; Acts 22:16). Jesus told Nicodemus, “Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water (baptized) and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God”
Burial: Baptism represents the death of our old, sinful selves. To be baptized is to bury one's carnal self in a watery grave (Colossians 2:12).
Resurrection: Baptism gives us a new life and it represents the resurrection which we are promised if we obey and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior (Romans 6:3-5).
The Apostles used the word baptizo whenever referring to the act required for salvation. Proper baptism requires immersion, not sprinkling or pouring. Notice that when Jesus was baptized He was in the water. "And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the spirit like a dove descending upon him" (Mark 1:10). John the Baptist did not take Jesus to a well and pour water on His head out of a dipper. Jesus was immersed. Another example of water baptism is found in (Acts 8:26-40). Here we see Philip teaching Christianity to the Ethiopian eu**ch. When the eu**ch asked to be baptized, he and Philip went down both into the water for baptism and when they were finished they were come up out of the water. The Ethiopian eu**ch was completely immersed in water. The wrong with pouring or sprinkling is God tells us not to follow the ways of men, but to obey His Commandments and to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Who then shall perish?

THE PRINCIPLE OF SPEAKING THE WORD

“Speak the Word of God! Doing so transforms your voice into His voice.” Jan Smith
Glorious victory is yours by speaking the power of God’s Words, while defeat, depression, fear, and anger are the results of not speaking the word of God. As a follower of Jesus, We should have to know the Word of God and having the Word needs an effort, energy, and time. Ask God to guide and show you His will and remember that it is the Lord who gives true understanding through His Word. Therefore you cannot gain it on your own. If you get the Word of God you shall never perish, die, fail and ashamed because the word is full of power and you will get the power of God when you speak the Word of God. (Mathew 8:5) a centurion man came forward to Jesus having understanding the power of the Word and replied Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just send the word, and my servant will be healed. His faith in believing the Word changes the situation. When the Word of God comes to your life, your home, your family it grants you peace, fill you with hope and comfort you in your time of trouble and pain.

The principle of speaking the Word categorized into two:
#1 THE WORD IN THE STOREHOUSE OF THE FAITH: - John 17:8 the Word of the living God is given to us through our Jesus Christ to reproduce in a moment of crisis. When you begin to receive the Word, believe in the Word that the Word comes from the God. Accept both Old and New Testaments is the inspired Word of God. When studying, keep in mind that He inspired the words you are reading and believe; God is directly speaking to you through his language so that you can effectively communicate with Him. Study the Word, meditate, obey and humbly seek the instruction, correction and store it in your heart and keep it in your mind and you can reproduce it in times of persecution, challenges, crisis, sickness, and troubles.

“Store up God actions and attributes in your heart.”

(Deuteronomy 6:6; 11:8 ) store up and observe the commandments in your hearts, so that later you can bring from it good fruit and things.
#2 THE WORD FROM THE STOREHOUSE OF THE FAITH.
What we store in our Hearts we reflect and manifest outside by speaking the Word. (1 King 18:1)Elijah was able to arise determined to face up to the prophets of baal because he knew that the word is stored up in his Heart. Open your mouth, eat the Word and speak the Word in all social media like Facebook, Instagram and etc and read the Word, store the Word in your Heart you shall see your self-approved. The amount of the Word in you is the Spirit of the God in you. The word of God is sufficient if we can able to use it properly (Mathew 8:5-13) The Word of God is able to deliver you, to heal you and set you free because it’s powerful, active and sharpest.
