HISTORY
The historic decision to put up Marthoma Care Centre inorder to rehabilitate the physically challenged was taken in the Edathra Convention as a part of the International handicap year 1981. The first step of hiring land in Pidavoor, Pathanapuarm so as to pr

ovide job training for the inmates was done under the leadership of Bishop .Rt.Rev.Zacharias Mar Theophillus in 1984. Rt.Rev Yuyakeem Mar Kurilose and was renamed as “Asha Bhavan” in 1990. Asha Bhavan, in the last two decades had brought out 300 physically challenged children to the forefront of the society by giving an overall development. Presently 67 students belonging to different places in Kerala is completing education from Asha Bhavan in the year 2018. Children from various castes and communities belonging to the age group between 5-18 are admitted here. We provide boarding,food,basic education,health care free of cost. Almost 15 staff members are available so as to provide services for these children.
