శమీ వృక్షము అనేది పాపాన్ని శమింపచేసేది. శత్రువులను నాశనం చేస్తుందిది. ఇది నాడు అర్జునుని ధనువును కల్గి ఉండింది. శ్రీరాముడికి ప్రియాన్ని కల్గించింది.
