History and Background
The Evangelical Fellowship of India Secretariat spent a long time on 4th May 2010 discussing what they discerned God is doing in the nation, and thinking about an appropriate response. Every member emphasized that equipping leaders of the growing Church with biblical knowledge for effective discipleship and leadership is an urgent and pressing task. It was noted that there i

s a great shortage of material, written from within the context of India. There is also a major need to equip Christians in the market place with a biblical worldview for witnessing.

DR. GRAHAM HOUGHTON IS THE MANAGING TRUSTY and FOUNDER of The CALEB INSTITUTE
Graham Houghton is a New Zealander who came to India in 1965 with OMS International. He did his B.D from Serampore Senate and completed a PH.D in Indian Political and Cultural History from UCLA. He was The Principal of Madras Bible Seminary from 1971 until 1983, and was associated with the Evangelical Church in India.
