In simple words MGJSM is the students wing of Jacobite church.But this simple explanation tells us nothing about this organisation,its activities & its relevance in this modern technological society. First & prime reason that lead to the re-formation of this organisation is that,many students of our church started moving away from God & our church.Many dont even pray daily,cause they lost faith &
many a time are not even bothered to uphold ethical & moral values in life
Thus first & formost objective of this organisation is to give spiritual awareness to the students.Along with this imbibing christian values,faith & traditions & strengthening faith in god is also our aim. Learning more about our nearly 2000 year old church is also important.It is the only way we can enrich students with feeling of oneness & also makes us feel proud to be part of this holy church. This is important cause our church is the bond that connects all of us together despite difference in gender,locality,qualification etc. Not only knowing God & church is done in MGJSM,but also knowing each other is also important.MGJSM not only provides space to make new friends but also helps to renew contact with old Sunday school friends.Sometimes it helps in knowing students in far off regions & spreads a feeling of oneness despite many differences. MGJSM, is also an open forum which conducts debates, discussions & seminars.This not only helps in leadership training but also helps to equip ourselfs to face challenges of modern world & jump over hurdles & difficulties of campus life. MGJSM is a step towards nourishing universal brotherhood among students.This great message is conveyed not by words of wisdom but by act of care & love towards desuetude.Charity works aims mainly at this purpose
Upholding ethical & moral values of human life is done along with that.The presence of MGJSM has lead to considerable decrease in antisocial activities among students especially in regions like Pallikkara&.Thamarachal
MGJSM,as it is a students organisation is lead & organised by students.Thus students start taking up things & will act as grownups.They Will conduct camps, meetings & competitions, speak up in a group, deliver speeches, leads prayer,organise charity works & social activities & have an annual picnic. Working as a team is a great opportunity.In todays competitive world working as a team is becoming less day by day among students.Even playing team games are decreasing & students find it more interesting to play in computers & playstations.But in MGJSM replenishes that & enhances students with skill of teamwork which is seeked by even MNCs.Unlike in games were 10-20 work as a team, MGJSM Pallikkara has a student force of more than 500 joining hands.Think how much we can do working as a team.So lets join our hands through MGJSM for a better tomorrow.
