Gurusar Maddoke

Gurusar Maddoke Located on the west side of the village is the Gurdwara (Sikh Temple). The sixth master of Sikhs Guru Hargobind Singh visited this place with 500 Sikhs in 1634.

A gurdwara has been built at that place. The modern building of the gurdwara has five storey and is about 100 feet tall building. The gurdwara is being taken care by Sant veer Singh. Sant Veer Singh is the main priest in the Gurdwara Gurusar Maddoke. He is a member of SGPC (The top level elected administrative committee of Sikh temples in Punjab state in INDIA). He has a deep knowledge of Sikh pri

nciples and Sikh religion. He has trained many students in Sikhism. "Suche Motti", a book about the history of village Maddoke is written by Sant Veer Singh and is working on more books related to Sikh religion and Sikh philosophy. To serve the whole region better and to give high quality education to students, he started a English medium school in 1984 where 1800 students from 30 villages are getting religious and academic education.
