Shri Dev Brahmeshwar Mandir This temple dedicated to God Shiva is located in Baav Bambuli village near Kudal in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra in India.

Hundreds of years ago a cow used to release her milk at a certain spot daily. One day the angry cowherd hit the ground with an axe at that spot only to find that his axe was stained in blood. He and his friends ran off to call the owner of the property Mr.Pandit. Mr.Pandit came and told them to dig further, around the place. Slowly a Shivalinga was retrieved from the earth. This Shivalinga has bee

n established in the Dev Brahmeshwar Temple where you can still see where the axe had hit on the Linga.

Today is the day of birth of Shri Raam. Today various festivities happen at the Brahmeshwar Temple. Various aartis, bhajans are sung loudly and the otherwise empty temple is packed with devotees. Later the Rath of Lord Brahmeshwar is taken out and the Rath is taken around the temple.
