God’s creation- he created man and woman equal through the institution of marriage of one man and one woman.
Matthew 19:4
Jesus answered, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female'
Mark 10:6
However, from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female
God created them as man and woman. He didn’t mention Eve being inferior to Adam. Adam was given one helper – one wife. Adam never considered Eve inferior to him. A helper is not considered inferior. Jesus refers the Holy Spirit as helper to his church – his bride
This changed generations later when Lamech took two wives, when during his generation all men had only one wife. His conversations with his wives written in bible portray him as an unholy man. So God is not to be blamed for man starting to become a polygamist.
Abraham had one wife Sarah. God never asked Abraham to take in other women into his life. It was his own choice. So can God be blamed for Abraham’s action?
Jacob loved Rachel but was tricked into marriage with Leah by his father-in-law. So he ended up having two wives and his wives gave him their maidservants in order that they have more children.
Noah had one, Job had one, Moses had one, Samuel had one, and so did many prophets
Mathew 19:8 Jesus answered, “It was because of your hardness of heart that Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but it was not SO, from the beginning.
If God had polygamy in his design he would have given more wives to Adam. And Jesus himself says that what God had done during the creation is the best. The remaining what we see all along the Old Testament is man trying to destroy Gods initial plan
(Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh).
Jesus in the above verse mentions that man leaves his parents and joins with his wife, not wives. Jesus stresses the monogamy in God’s creation.
In the old and new testaments God has never degraded a woman, so a religion which considers woman as an inferior gender is not from God.

Joshua 15:16 Caleb said, “The one who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him Achsah my daughter as a wife.” 17Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, captured it; so he gave him Achsah his daughter as a wife. 18It came about that when she came to him, she persuaded him to ask her father for a field. So she alighted from the donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?” 19 then she said, “Give me a blessing; since you have given me the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
