PRAYER FOR PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Heavenly Father,
God of mercy and compassion,
we lift up to You the nations and peoples of the Middle East,
especially those suffering because of war, violence, and division.
Lord, we remember the land made holy by the footsteps of Your Son.
In places like Jerusalem, where our Savior carried His Cross,
and Bethlehem, where He was born in humility,
teach us again the meaning of peace — not as the world gives, but as You give.
We pray for all innocent lives lost and wounded,
for families grieving their dead,
for children who sleep in fear,
for the elderly who long for safety.
Wrap them in Your Sacred Heart, O Jesus.
Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon leaders and decision-makers.
Soften hearts hardened by hatred.
Break the chains of revenge and pride.
Grant wisdom, restraint, and the courage to choose dialogue over destruction.
Bless the peacemakers, the humanitarian workers,
the priests, religious, and lay faithful who remain
to bring hope in the darkness.
Protect them under the mantle of Our Lady, Queen of Peace.
May the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
St. Joseph, protector of families,
and all the saints who walked that sacred land,
obtain for us the grace of reconciliation.
Lord Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace,
You wept over Jerusalem —
weep now over every city torn by war.
Transform weapons into instruments of healing,
and fear into trust.
We entrust the Middle East to Your Divine Mercy.
May justice and peace embrace,
and may Your Kingdom come.
Through Christ our Lord.
