About the temple

Kattauparambil Devi Kshetram

The Kattauparambil Devi Kshetram , as the name suggests is a Bhagavathy Temple located in Kakkanad/Vazhakkala area of Cochin . History

Founding Hearing his fame the King of Tehri visited swamiji and requested him to open a library. Swami was reluctant Later disciples also joined with the king and gently persuaded him to construct a Library. Once it

happened that Lord Siva thrice appeared to Swami in dream and instructed him to bring the Sivalinga which was In Karkal(Haridwar). Swami acted as per order and consecrated Lord Siva here. All the while regular classes on Vedanta was going on for hundreds of inmates around him, swami was bit concerned about the basic needs of them. As a solace to this predicament Lord Siva appeared in a dream to swami and told him “You just keep sharing Vedanta to me, it will be my responsibility to look after rest of the things”. That level is “Abhinav Chandrashwar” who is a perpetual presence in Kailasa Ashram.
