History
This temple was established more than 1,000 years ago. It was scientifically proven by assessing the age of the tree which surrounded the temple for long time of the period. It still unknown reason why this temple haven't been keep intact. It is believed the temple wa

s abandoned long time by older generations. The locals who lived nearby the temple started to see strange event occurring. It was a tiger would appear for a while than later will disappear near the temple. It is believed by locals the tiger manifests Shiva God and Goddess Paravathi. This was the signs given to locals by God guiding them to the temple and informing them to reform the temple. Despite this locals hesitated as they were unsure what to do with this temple. After a while, not far from the temple placed a Prasanna about the land. It was discovered by the astrologer _____________that there need to be reform and rightfully establish the temple for the sake of the betterment for local people in the area. This marks the beginning of laying down new foundation of UmaMaheshwara Temple. By 2000, locals have started to improve the temple which was completed by 08-05-2003. It was founded by Shree ______________ which sadly now passed away. Shree Vishwantha Swami and Shree Dhramastala all performed the rightful rituals to the temple. By 2005, Ganesh God statute was placed within the temple. By 2009, Goddess Paravathi/ Uma statute was placed within the temple. Currently, Shiva God, Parvathi Goddess and Ganesh God is together in the temple the whole family making it more holier place to pray. The name of the temple "UmaMaheshwara Temple" was derived from Shiva God's lap where Goddess Uma/Paravathi was sitting on as together they are looking at the mirror. It is considered the reflection inside itself manifests the God and derived the name of the temple. Shivathikera the lake resides near the temple. It is believed to named that long time ago was the lake where Shiva and Paravathi bathed together. This is truly beautiful scenery where different species of birds resides and fishes in the lake itself.
