Swami Nithyananda Ashram, Kanhangad, as commonly called, is situated on the coastal region of Hosdurg taluk of Kasaragod district in Kerala State. This Ashram was the abode of Swami Nithyananda during his younger days, when he constructed the 43 holy caves carving a single laterite stone, which was adjacent to the Hosadurga fort. These caves are considered to be an engineering marvel even to this day and attract thousands of people from all over the world.
