If the lords of trika bhavas (6,8,12 houses) in a horoscope are making yoga with lagna lord or trikona lords (5,9 houses), they give hardships in life, including sufferings from many common diseases during their dasha and antardasha. One should not recommend gemstones for these trika lords.
Gemstone for lagnesh, or trikona bhavas, sun and rashi lord of moon should be prescribed after proper analysis for avoiding common diseases.
Many times the sun or moon can help a native irrespective of lagna to fight health troubles. Should also check that jupiter should be strong in a horoscope, because jupiter gives recovery power, therefore mostly a yellow sapphire is prescribed if it's weak and native having troubles to get healed.

The fifth is Pushan aditya who gives nutrition to all beings, the sixth is Aryaman - who brings sacrifices to a successful conclusion, seventh The seventh is bhaga, named because of his generosity in giving alms, bringing joy to sages through charitable gifts. Eighth form of surya is vivasvan - who ensures digestion (remember surya is the karaka of the Agni in your body), The ninth form is Vishnu who constantly destructs the enemies of gods, the tenth form is known as Ansuman who preserves the vital organs in a good state, the eleventh form is Varuna who resides in the waters and vitalize the universe, the twelfth form of surya is Mitra aditya who dwells in the orbit of Chandra for the benefit of all worlds..
