પ્રગટ બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજની પ્રેરક પ્રસંગ-સ્મૃતિઓ
બોચાસણમાં મંદિરે દર્શન બાદ સ્વામીશ્રી સ્વાગત-સભા માટે જેવા મંચ પર આવ્યા તે વખતે તેઓએ જોયું કે મધ્યમાં બિરાજિત અક્ષરપુરુષોત્તમ મહારાજ આગળ તેઓનું આસન તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલું. સ્વામીબાપાની મૂર્તિ તેઓશ્રીની જમણી બાજુ આવે તેમ મંચ પર પધરાવવામાં આવેલી છે. આ મંચવ્યવસ્થા તેઓને જરાય રુચિ નહીં.
તેઓશ્રીએ તાત્કાલિક સ્વામીબાપાનું અને પોતાનું આસન સરખું કરવાની સૂચના આપી. એટલું જ નહીં, સ્વામીબાપાની મૂર્તિ મંચ પર બરાબર મધ્યમાં મુકાવી અને પોતાનું આસન એ મૂર્તિની જમણી બાજુએ કરાવ્યું. ચાલુ સભામાં આ ફેરફારો સંતો કરવા લાગ્યા ત્યાં સુધી સ્વામીશ્રી ઊભા રહ્યા. બધું બરાબર ગોઠવાઈ ગયું ત્યારે તેઓને સંતોષ થયો. ત્યારબાદ જ સોફા પર બિરાજ્યા.
સૌનાં અંતરમાં તેઓની આ ગુરુભક્તિની અમીટ છાપ અંકિત થઈ ગઈ.

Family Harmony
An 80-year-old Satsangi man came for Swamishri’s blessings.
Swamishri was aware of his family problems and asked him, “How are things with you now?”
“There’s an improvement,” the old man replied.
“Now that you are old you should be calm. Worship God. Is it proper for a Satsangi to behave in this manner? Patch up and stay together. Do not be suspicious of anyone. You are a Satsangi, so is this the command of Maharaj?”
Swamishri was talking to the elderly man as if he was advising a youth. Swamishri was aware that the old man used to fight with his 75-year-old wife every day and was suspicious of her character. Because of his harassment, she had left him.
The old man spoke, “At present, she is in a town near the Himalayas.”
“No matter where she is, you should call her back. It is not proper for you to do this at this age. It brings disgrace to Satsang and disreputes to Maharaj.”
“I am tired of making her understand,” the old man replied.
“But who is it that needs to understand? You or her? And aren’t their ways of making someone understand? But when you scold her by saying that you are like this and like that, then any person would lose his or her mind. If you want to make someone understand then do it calmly.”
“Swami, I’ll do whatever you say,” the old man concluded.
Swamishri endeavors to repair broken families and establishes harmony and friendship.

Amdãvãd-3: Attaing the state of Upashna
Thereupon Nityãnand Swãmi commented, “The method You have described for attaining the state of upsham, i.e., meditating upon God after ãtmã-realisation, is very difficult. Please tell us if there is another, easier method apart from that.”

Shriji Mahãrãj said, “A devotee of God who, firstly, deeply understands the greatness of God; and secondly, does darshan of God and serves Him and His Bhakta with extremely intense shraddhã, attains that upsham state.

Swamishri's Intimacy
A youth volunteer introduced himself to Swamishri, “My name is Haresh and my native village is Shrijipura.”
“What is your father’s name?” Swamishri enquired.
“Ramji Chhagan.”
Swamishri knows each and every household and the names of devotees in Shrijipura. Swamishri then remembered the volunteer’s relatives, “He is originally of Ugamedi village. When Shastriji Maharaj acquired land in Shrijipura he had also asked devotees to reside there and to till the land. His father’s name is Ramji and his brother is called Dayal. Chhagan has two children, and three brothers, namely, Trikam the eldest, then Chhagan, Narayan, and Talshi. Ramji’s brother is a sadhu in Sarangpur. And Manilal of Surat is related to him.”
Haresh stood amazed at Swamishri’s intimacy with his family.

Positive NEWS

K.R. Shreenivas, bureau chief of an English daily, came for Swamishri’s darshan and blessings.
Shreenivas said, “I only want to write good things and do good things in my life.”
Swamishri was pleased by his sentiments and added, “By giving good things people will experience peace. Otherwise, misunderstandings arise in people. Write on religious and social things so that they are inspired. No matter what type of news one gets, one must think about what and how to write them. One should not print news that creates unrest and agitation in people. One must-see as to how peace can be maintained.”
Shreenivas, “We want to do that.”
Swamishri reiterated, “No matter what news you get, they should be written in such a fashion that they do not create misunderstandings and anger in the public, but inspire peace.”
Shreenivas said, “It is our aim to print everything positive so that everyone enjoys it.”
Swamishri commented, “Yes, that’s right. So that there will be joy in people, peace in society and the country, and peace among religions.”
Shreenivas continued, “We print articles to inspire progress in others.”
Swamishri said, “A person’s duty is to see how his country can progress. To inspire others is his work. If there is agitation or strife then there can be no progress.”
Swamishri’s message of positive reporting for peace and progress in people and the country are needed in our conflicting and trouble-filled times.

Amdãvãd-4: What is God Like?

Thereupon Shriji Mahãrãj said to the muni-Mandal and the devotees, “Everyone please listen to what I have to say. One should first develop a firm conviction of the form of God. What is God like? Well, He, by His own wish, takes birth for the liberation of the jivas. Yet having taken birth, He is still beyond birth. Despite having to die, God is still beyond aging and death. He is also ‘Niranjan’, that is to say, He has no blemish of mãyã. In addition, He possesses a definite form and is self-radiant; He is Parabrahma, antaryãmi, the supporter of countless millions of brahmãnds; and He also transcends Akshar. His assuming and discarding of a human body is merely an illusion – like the magic of a wizard. Furthermore, He is the controller of the countless muktas, including Akshar. He is also the lord of all. That Shri Purushottam Nãrãyan, after first taking birth from Dharmadev and Murti, performs austerities in Badrikãshram in the form of Narnãrãyan.

સ્વામીશ્રી ભ્રમણ કરી રહ્યા હતા. એ દરમ્યાન સંતોએ ગીતાના જુદા જુદા શ્લોકોનું નિરૂપણ કર્યું. ખાસ કરીને ગીતામાં વર્ણવેલા ‘અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ યોગ’નું જુદી જુદી રીતે પ્રતિપાદન કર્યું.
છેલ્લે અમૃતસ્વરૂપ સ્વામીએ પૂછ્યું : ‘અક્ષરબ્રહ્મની વાત તો બધાએ કરી, પણ બાપા આ અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ કોણ છે ?’
થોડી વારના મૌન પછી સ્વામીશ્રી કહે : ‘ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ છે.’
અમૃતસ્વરૂપ સ્વામી કહે : ‘પણ એ અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ અત્યારે કોણ છે ?’
સ્વામીશ્રી હસતાં હસતાં કહે : ‘બધા એના એ જ છે ને !’
આ વાત થઈ અને ભ્રમણની સમાપ્તિ થઈ. થોડાક હાંફતાં હાંફતાં સ્વામીશ્રી કહે : ‘બહુ સારી તૈયારી કરી છે. શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજનો સિદ્ધાંત કેટલો સાચો છે એનો ખ્યાલ આવે.’
બ્રહ્મમનન સ્વામી કહે : ‘આ સિદ્ધાંત અમારા જીવમાં દૃઢ થાય એવા આશીર્વાદ આપજો.’
સ્વામીશ્રી કહે : ‘શ્રદ્ધા અને વિશ્વાસ રાખજો.’
